Hello/Salam everyone,

May I ask for your favourite underrated dramas? I mean dramas which have never won a prize, or those with very low rating!

It may seem a strange question at first glance, but I'm asking it because I'm currently watching Kami wa Saikoro wo Furanai (2006) and its average rating was very low of 9.6, but I can easily say it is one of my all-time favourites.

^ One of mine is "Sexy Voice and Robo": http://www.jdorama.com/drama_1159.htm

It seems like people either thought this was hilarious or one of the worst dramas ever. Kenichi Matsuyama was great as the action figure otaku. Applaud

Mmm... I wouldn't call 9.6 a low rating Sweat It's average.
Kazoku no uta had an average rating of 3.92% in prime time Beaten
It was axed at episode 8, but was actually very enjoyable. Maybe the father (Odagiri Jo) was a bit too self centered and hopeless for mainstream Japan. I rather liked the whole thing, so it comes recommended Mr Green

Good morning everyone.

ILm here to get some recomendations.
I was a huge Jdrama fan back in the day: 2007 to 2009, then i finished college and joined the army, i started watching more movies and less doramas, and playing video games as well. All of that and work, i didnLt have much time to get back to japanese drama.

Now i want to get back but iLm just overwhelmed by so much new stuff i donLt know how to start.

My favorite ones are:
Jin
Orthros no Ini
Buzzer Beat
Rookies
Around 40
Last Friends
Taiyou no Uta
Sapuri
My Boss, My Hero
Kekkon Dekinai Otoko
Byakuyakou
1 Litre of Tears
Densha Otoko
Orange Days
Boku Dakke no Madonna
Golden Bowl
Beautiful Life
Majo no Jouken (my favorite one)
GTO
Long Vacation

Sorry for the long list, but i think itLs easy to point out my favoriteones instead of describing what type i like the most.
As you look i have a thing for forbidden romance storys, thatLs one of the reasons why i love Majo no Jouken so much.
Well you can allways check my list if you want to see the ratings i gave to all the doramas i watched.

Well i think itLs it, i really want to catch up in the Jdrama world, and i wanted to start with dramas just like these.

PS: Sorry for the bad english

I recommend OSEN which had a weekly average rating of 9.1 in 2008

I also recommend:
The Hours Of My Life & Yokai Ningen Bem

The monsters on Yokai Ningen Bem look SyFy Channel cheap, but you soon learn to overlook it. I was surprised how much I like the drama. (The movie is also good, but the drama is better.)

Hello, dear JDorama population! Smile

I'm the newbie of the block and I need a favour, please!

It's Sunday evening in my part of the world right now, of one of the few weekends I have off. Monday is near, I'm bored and it's terribly hot!
I want to start a J-drama marathon, but it's been some time since I last watched anything... I was hoping for a couple of good, quick recommendations.
Of course, I saw the sticky with the recommandations, but I got totally lost in there!

Something with romance and good actors?

Thank you so much!

After checking mydramalist.info, I mostly watched the ones where characters were sick, but I'll not add those. I haven't got around to watching the romance ones I planned on.

Movies
kimi ni todoke
Last Quarter

Dramas
1 pound no fukuin - comedy / romance drama
Tatta hitotsu no koi - average, but good
Suppli - average, but good
Summer Nude
Konkatsu - some found boring, but I enjoyed it.

I've heard Love Shuffle is good. I've not watched it yet.

Not a romance, maybe a small bit, but it's very good.
Runaway: aisuru kimi no tame ni

Second Love is very bad. Skip it.

Wow, so many choices, thank you!
I'll definitely find something good among these for now, and the rest will be "to watch".
I've watched Suppli, Tatta hitotsu no koi and Love Shuffle.
I certainly recommend Love Shuffle - all-star cast, great story, humour, emotion - a little bit of everything, plus quality! It's one of my favourites.

Many thanks!

I feel like I left something out. Something that was really good.
I'll have to watch Love Shuffle when I have time.

Thank you, junny! Lots of material for my "to watch" list!
I'm finishing 1 pound no fukuin now (pretty funny and uplifting!)
I must be the only one who couldn't stand Nodame Cantabile (apart from the music, of course...!)
Thanks again!

Haha awww, but it has Tamaki Hiroshi from Love Shuffle!

No worries, hope you enjoy the rest.

Oh I forgot to add: Hotaru no Hikari. It's a rom-com with 2 seasons and a film.

No you weren't. I had a hard time with that one also. Wanted to add "Muri na Renai" to the list:http://www.jdorama.com/drama_1275.htm
