She performed for the stage version of Atsuhime across the new year. Not sure what her plans are for this year.

There's a thread, think on page 2 or 3 now, you gotta list your ideal husband/wife/GF, listed Rina's role from SOS, w00t! I'd love to have someone like her, that Manato doesn't know what he missed! Beat You

Uchiyama, Mukai play couple in cell phone drama

Actress Rina Uchiyama and actor Osamu Mukai will co-star in a BeeTV mobile drama series titled "5-nengo no Love Letter."

Mukai and Uchiyama play a husband and wife expecting their first son, but the husband dies from illness before the child is born. The woman raises the boy on her own, and five years later, a picture book leads the mother and son on an adventure involving a letter from the deceased husband.

Part of the series will have Uchiyama playing a pregnant woman, wearing a maternity dress for the first time.

BeeTV will begin distributing "5-nengo no Love Letter" on May 1. The show's theme song will be "Kanashimi no Yukue," the upcoming solo single from TVXQ's Junsu.

Ahh, I thought Mukai Osamu's name sounded familiar: He's the cellist from Nodame Cantabile... Victory! Peace!

EDIT: And he's also in Shinzanmono. Smile

Rina Uchiyama stars in "Tooku no Sora"
Wed, September 22, 2010 (11:56am EDT)
Information about the movie "Tooku no Sora" was just released this week, even though it opens on September 25. The film, described as a love story, is the first starring role for actress Rina Uchiyama since 2006.

Uchiyama plays a young woman whose mother (Fukumi Kuroda) is a Zainichi Korean. Although she already has a boyfriend, she becomes interested in a man at work (Kim Eung Soo) who has just been transferred from Korea. However, she learns that the man had a fateful encounter with her mother 30 years earlier, during the Gwangju massacre in 1980.

"Tooku no Sora" is directed by Haruo Inoue. Other cast members include Sayuri Oyamada, Kensuke Yamagishi, and Masayo Utsunomiya. Screenings will start with a theater in Shinjuku on September 25, followed by several more theaters in October and November.
