As promised, here is the video of him in a zoo (or a hotel that has a lot of animals? I'm not really sure). I was wrong about him playing with porcupines. He was playing with puppies!

I was very impressed with how comfortable he is giving instructions to the dog. His own dog is pretty big and I'm sure he plays with/trains it almost everyday.

Yutaka's part begins after 19 minute mark.

As always, translations would be much appreciated!

He is not married. Although there are rumours that will happen this year. We shall have to wait and see Smile

Yutaka playing with puppies = cuteness overload!! He is really very good with dogs.

The quality is not very good, but in this video Yutaka makes an appearance in a show called TBS-A Studio. They interviewed his family! The show protected the Takenouchi family by not showing their face but his mom, his dad and his sister were there along with his niece and nephew.

Qnuy, I would really love it if you could summarize for us what they talked about! Onegai!

^^Aww, that's too bad. I can only find pandora links for that show right now. If I find a link on other than pandora I'll post it here.

New pics again!

I love the three piece suit he's wearing. Very snappy.

"Taiheiyou no Kiseki" opens at almost 400 million yen

The #1 movie at the box office this past holiday weekend was Hideyuki Hirayama's "Taiheiyou no Kiseki: Fox to Yobareta Otoko," starring actor Yutaka Takenouchi. The film opened on Friday on 300 screens nationwide and brought in more than 330,000 viewers, earning slightly more than 390 million yen.

The film unseated "GANTZ" from the top spot, after the latter had ranked #1 for two weeks in a row. It also beat out the "Ashita no Joe" movie (starring Tomohisa Yamashita), which opened at #3. In any case, the big winner of the weekend was Toho, the distributor for all three of those films.

"Taiheiyou no Kiseki" is about the Japanese captain Sakae Oba, who headed the last remaining Japanese unit in the Battle of Saipan against the American forces during World War II. Hirayama co-directed the film with Cellin Gluck, though they each filmed their parts separately - Hirayama was in charge of the Japanese side, while Gluck took care of the American side.

Besides Takenouchi, the film's cast includes Toshiaki Karasawa, Mao Inoue, and Takayuki Yamada. The main U.S. soldiers were played by Sean McGowan, Daniel Baldwin, and Treat Williams.

According to a survey conducted online and on mobile phones, it is estimated that 62% of the opening weekend audience was male. Older generations made up the bulk of the viewers, with 32.2% in their 50s and 27% in their 40s.

The movie, also known under the English title "Oba: The Last Samurai," has already secured distribution in England, Ireland, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Toho is currently negotiating for distribution in many other countries, including France, Belgium, and The Netherlands.

Congratulations, Yutaka! You worked really hard to promote this movie and I'm glad it's paid off. I hope you get a well-deserved rest before starting BOSS 2 in April. Victory! Peace!

Congrats to Mr. Yutaka for a great opening. Well deserved!
I can hardly wait to see the film what with all the buzz. I hope he wins an acting award for this one.

Thanks guys for all that you share.

Welcome jionouchi!

Not really a new picture but here's our boy with his dog.

Assuming this picture was taken in his home/apartment, I really think it's sweet that he kept the painting from Manatsu No Meri Kurismasu.

Also, happy birthday to our fellow Yutaka fan, the wonderful peacoat loving Eve!

Thanks N Arbr fan . Long-time fan here...

Yep, that was very sweet....MNMK happens to be one of my top faves and is where I think Idol was at the prime of his youthful gorgeousness.

His pics/clips with dogs demonstrate his gentle and sensitive side which is a mark of a great actor.
His directors seem to tap and capitalize on that side of him so much so that they require him to shed a tear or two in every drama/film that he is in. hehe

Again, thanks for the pic.
