Personally I�Ld like to see her less. Don�Lt get me wrong but because if we don�Lt get stuffed with new doramas and magazines all the time, the more we would appreciate new ones.
I mean just look in how many mags she is monthly!!! Not only that it�Ls super expensive to be a collector it�Ls nearly impossible to buy all of them. Same goes for doramas: 3-4 the year are really much.
She should better halve her doramas and mags and take some time of, recharge the batteries, take acting and singing lessons (not that she�Ld be bad. Absolutly not!! She is getting better and better. But some lessons would help her get even better) and maybe do more movies.
So, for her own sake, I�Ld like to see her shift a gear down. I don�Lt want to see her get sick or depressed because she works too much. And her work will be much better if she is happy, healthy and full of energy!
It would be a shame if she�Ld have to quit some day because she can�Lt do it anymore because she is burned out.
But unfortunately Japan is a consumer society (probably the biggest) and stars are forced to work their asses off, get sucked out till they don�Lt earn enough money anymore... and then get dropped
I think Aya is pretty aware of that, too. So she probably will work on like this till she has earned wnough or doesn�Lt want to do it anymore. She said herself already that she�Ld like to act and sing as long as she has fun doing it. But she plans to quit in her mid twenties- 30 to marry and get a family as a "normal" person. Till then she will probably have enough money that she wom�Lt have to worry about this anymore. Understandable, as this sounds absolutly like Aya�Ls nature. She is very much of a family man.
I agree that it's quietly unlikely to happen..
I think Oscar makes very poor decisions regarding the dramas they pick up for her...if Aya wasn't in Hotelier I wouldn't have watched more than the 1st ep. It's plain and boring. Kyoko is such an empty character too. + She should stick to roles of her "age". The whole "adult" thing is not working yet, I mean, she's just 21!
Also, she's sort of limited too because Oscar only wants her to be the lead in every drama. Anyone hear how for Karei ni naru Ichizoku, the producers wanted her to play the role of kimutaku's young sister but Oscar refused. Although it was a good decision, because that character was really...well, useless, I just feel like she doesn't have much of a say in the dramas she does.
Shibasaki Kou has probably the best management team. They only pick the dramas which are sure to be hits. _________________

Koukou Kyoushi = So-so ratings, (blame it on Fujiki ) but I loved it!
Hitonatsu no Papa e = Poor ratings, ...didn't watch it!
Ace wo nerae! = <3 Had the rest of the cast been better it would've had better ratings though.
Attack No.1 = Same as Ace
Yoshitsune = Not her lead but yay for a taiga
Koto = So-so rating but I liked it alot.
Misora Hibari Tanjou Monogatari = Very good rating but I don't think she fitted the role.
Nada sousou kono ai ni ikite = Not really her lead, but I did like her parts.
Tsubasa no oreta tenshitachi = I really liked this! It was different and good.
Attention Please = Her best drama!! So much fun!!
Shimokita Sundays = I liked it, hated what they did to her hair though
Ri Kouran = Poor ratings but I did like it. (but too "adult" for her)
Hotelier = No no no. Her worse :/
Wachigaiya Itosato = This really sounds good, can't wait! _________________

You missed out Kinpachi Sensei!! I'm still halfway thru watching this series. Her role is really different from the others. Really interesting to watch her act so differently.

Agree. Not only in the dramas, but in magazeines shootings too. ANd also in tv shows like telephone box, she's just asked to promote items, such as fashion bags etc. At least seh seems to enjoy some cm makings. Hmm and about music, though she personally put a bit of herself into it (or she was forced to write the lyrics to make a commercial argument, to replace the lack of PB etc.), I doubt she still can't choose nowadays what she'd like to sing, or not to sing.

Regarding Hotelier, yes the pace is flat and it's a lack of direction. SOme scenaristics points are interesting (example : ep 8 the evil woman returns to the hotel) but nothing happens. There is never a really good scene of discussion between the lead characters. And the other characters are useless. Since ep3, I haven't seen one dramatic (= ) scene ... Plus, if Aya has so few experience in love relationships in real life, plus no acting lessons from a real school, plus if she's given a plain text in which u can guess every word ...
Dunno what happened in the director's head, it's the same as Tsubasa no oreta tensitachi right ?

"Koto" is the story of two twin sisters separated at birth, one stayed with her real family (the poor one) and one was left on the doorstep of a rich family.
About her music, I think she has more freedom with it than the dramas. Reason why I think so is because Oscar is not the one who handles her musical career, Pony Canyon (her label) is.

Yes I know him, thanks to a magazine pic back to 2005. They look cute indeed, but I thought there was some other reason.
But ... don't tell me you want Aya to go further with this boy ? Of course she'll choose who she wants but ... I think, being given she doesn't have much experience in love, it would be better for her first steps to go with someone anonymous, and from a poor family, and someone heartful too, well someone close to Aya, just Aya and not all the industry that goes around her. This way she'll be able to make the difference between herself, her heart, her personality, and what she is asked to do.
Is Kamenashi from a poor family ? Is he heartful ? I don't know him actually. if so that would be a realtionships of 2 persons who took the same path but ... I think it's better for her to revive again a normal life, her life before taking the idol path, because this time she'll be free of any type of pressure : I mean, when she was around 15 y old, she couldn't really enjoy her life, because there was school, there was her brother's fee to pay for him to enter in high school etc. Today if she takes a breath, she can enjoy it better with her family.

Though I haven't, and of course I won't, read your message to aya (as you're writing to aya, not me ), I do think your idea mentioned someday before is really wonderful Instead of talking work, yours is outstanding as I think no one will write such thing to aya More important is that, it fits aya's interest. Really great!
@Bill-san, Freefall and gloomy-san, I also agree a lot w/ your views about aya's work life. And from your views, I feel you guys really love and support aya a lot But I think every one here also loves aya as much as you are
