Synopsis
Takenouchi plays an aquarium employee named Kengo, who seems ordinary at first glance but actually possesses a secret that he would sacrifice everything in order to protect. Meanwhile, Ueto plays Risa, a young woman working in the sex trade in order to pay off her brother's debt, though her situation has led her to contemplate suicide. These two characters, both full of despair, meet each other and end up entering a contract marriage purely for its benefits. Yeah, just noticed that thread. I'll wait until a few subs are released, just in case.

This is a quality drama. Feels like Ueto Aya has matured a lot, she is really good in this, I particularly like how she brought out some of the subtleties of Risa. A little bit slow, and while it doesn't evoke strong feelings from me, almost everything from characters' relationships/dynamics to plot developments felt right. I don't like having a villain for plot purpose only though, which seems like what Risa's brother is.

I agree that apart from Goro's character, nothing feels forced. I wish Yutaka would show more emotion but I guess that's just his character and perhaps when he finally does break down and express his true feelings, the payoff for that will be that much bigger.

What I don't get is why did Minako have to end the engagement? Is it such a stigma to have an ailing family member that her parents would make her break it off? And Kengo took it so well and calmly!

I love all the Kengo-Risa scenes. You just know there'll be so much unspoken angsty lovey dovey looks coming up between them.

Just finished watching ep. 7 Raw. OMG OMG OMG. He totally loves her! The way he walks home so slowly after spending all night looking for her and then seeing her at his own doorstep. Of course he'd get back on the bike to get to her quickly, and then he totally tried to play it cool by being so calm. And then his face! When she walks away! He's like "She's walking away from my life, I have to do something!" And then he runs! He runs to her! Aaaaarrrghhhh!!! Or what is it the Japanese say? Kyaaaa?? They spent the night together! In typical J-Dorama fashion of course, but still!! *fans myself* And that look they shared as she's being wheeled in to surgery!! Ohhhhh help me.

This episode was all kinds of awesome. And I don't even understand what they are saying, but I totally get the message. Love love love love this series!

I'm watching it too!!!! I wasn't keen at the beginning because Ueto Aya's acting isn't my liking, but since Zettai Reido she's improved (or more to my liking :p)

I've been watching with the Japanese subs and using Denshi Jisho if I want to know more what they talking about, as for the rest of the normal conversation I can follow ok. I love the chemistry between Kengo and Risa, I don't mind the slow pace at all! totally loving Ryusei of Kobukuro!

I just watched ep 7 and it was like a punch to Risa's brother's face when he said "Imouto kurushimetai hashinai" [I don't want to make my sister suffer] I was like YES! Minato has suddenly realised she was wrong and want to comeback to Kengo is really weird, it just seems they want to make the story interesting But next week!!! NEXT WEEK!!!! finally Kengo shows some affection to Risa.. I want to know what Risa saying when she's showing her tummy to Kengo.. hm...

I too want to know what she said when she showed him her tummy. She looked like she was about to cry. And how did they come to the decision that it was ok for her to sleep in his bed? Don't you just love the slow development of their relationship? I think he knows Risa is the only person he can be honest and open with. He tells her everything, even the fact that he was scared when he talked to Ryota. I love how they showed in the beginning Kengo is a person who is always reserved and keeps his emotion in check. And then to see him slowly open up and be so honest and expressive with Risa is wonderful. It's also wonderful to see Risa fall in love with him. The look on her face "This is a good man, I want to take away his pain" is always there whenever she looks at him. It's so good I don't want it to end!!!

hahahhaa.. I know ur feeling. I was like that too when I was obsessed with something and no one can share my obsession

I love the Risa Kengo moments.....and OMG, I think Kengo's really falling for her now and so she was.....wah!!! I wanna know what Kengo told her brother before he leaves her apartment.....Man!!! I'm sure it's something....and I loved Kengo when he finally talked to Minako that he can't marry her anymore....(hahaha cos he doesn't like you anymore... ) and ow Kamiya sensei depended Kengo regarding the fax thing (courtesy of the evil brother)...and I'm curious too on what Risa said when she showed her tummy to Kengo...(wahh!! *faints*) and and Maria had finally stop bitching around and agreed to do the operation....and before Risa had pulled in to OR....OMG!!! I love that 8secs staring-at-each-other scene with Kengo!!!!! wahhhh!!!!! And I'm so Looking forward the next EPISODE!!!! MAN!!!! GO FOR IT KENGO!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!

But what does "shikari" mean? It's sweet she wants Kengo to remember what her tummy looked like before the surgery. It means at a distant future she wants Kengo to look at her tummy again And I love the scene where Kengo called his mom outside the hospital after Maria finally agreed to the surgery. He hung up the phone and looked at Risa and then they started walking off together. Like a real couple who's been together a long long time. Sighhh.... So many scenes in Ep. 7. I keep watching it over and over again.

I didn't watch it properly since I doing a million thing while I was watching it, I didn't see what happen in the following morning after Risa slept on Kengo's bed :p I have to re-watch it again :p So yes, they sleep in the same room hehehehee... I wonder how that's happen as far as I can understand (thanks to Denshi Jisho) I think what everyone said about what Risa said about her tummy was right, for some reason she wants Kengo to remember what her tummy look like before operation, but when Kengo said "しっかり" it means it look firm or tight. So I'm lost what is the direction of the conversation but still I'm happy with the prospect of their relationship in the next episode

I'm going for a holiday next week, so I don't think I can watch it the next day >.<
