what the heck! I was a member of the community but somehow i wasn't watching it thanks so much! I need to read up on the com. it's nice to see a pretty active tokio community on lj. i was away from lj for about a month so i have alot of catching up to do in general i'll hopefully catchup this weekend. _________________

i got it to work on 5 round III thanks again!! i'll try the one for the other dvd tomorrow/later today when i'm awake lol. i'm gonna go to bed for now because i'm supposed to work in like 6-7 hours. good nite, thanks again! if there's anything i can help you with, let me know! I have tons of old tokio tv shows and alot of their songs and since i got a scanner, i can scan alot of my old myojo and other mags too _________________

I appreciate your offer but one thing that you must know about the TOKIO lj is they got this rules where you are forbidden to upload TOKIO songs in it. For TOKIO videos, only their TV varieties are allowed and things like you get on DVD, its is not allowed.
You can post the magazine scan there as long as you put it under cut. Erm, other rules...i dont know..you can read it in the profile page. Actually, most of the entries there were posted by the community maintainer...

Ah you are so nice! I dont know what shows you have and I assumed they are old Tetsuwan Dash episodes? The two thing that I'm aiming right now are TOKIO's 1996 Blowing Tour and WILD & MILD 1997 Tour. They are pretty hard to get and only available on VHS..but then I dont have VHS player..

I could have sworn suki sa ticket to love does... but it's not on the first video collection but i swear i've seen a video or cm for it before. as for everybody can do, i'm not sure. i would assume at one point it did but then I realized that songs after ai no arashi and before doitsumo koitsumo all lack a pv collection they were basically the last singles they released with sony... i have the 1st and second singles collection cds at least so that's good. I really wish they would release the other pvs that seem to be missing from collections and also the concerts that were on vhs. I guess there's always hope, all of smap's old concerts and videos are now rereleased on dvd so we can always hope. Sadly, the oldest dvd of tokio i was able to find was the 1999 tour.
i wish i had the 1996 blowing tour and wild and mild tour... sadly at the time i was young and broke and couldn't afford those videos even if i wanted them lol.
usually any singles that come out in japan have pv's as well so i would think that pvs exist for alot of the other songs that aren't on the pv collections. Such as Arigatou... yuuki! which seems to be impossible to get now on cd too
as for variety stuff with tokio, i have old tetsuwan dash and some other random johnnys stuff they were on, also i have all the episodes of "toki-kin kyokou suki dayo suki yanen". I just have to find the later episodes. I really wished that show lasted longer, it was great. But mostly for tokio i have tetsuwan dash. more recent shows i have mentore G from just the past year though and then um... also some gachinko somewhere.
but yeah let me know if there's anything you're looking for. i'm browsing some japanese websites to see what old tokio stuff i can find. i recently got their first album which i didn't think existed anymore so that made me happy. it was used, but it still works _________________

I think I have Arigatou..Yuuki PV somewhere but the file is corrupted so I couldnt play it anymore. Its pretty funny to see TOKIO back then say, 10 years ago compared to now. The songs are so cheesy and yet catchy and the videos are also funny especially when we look at their costumes. Haha did you notice Matsuoka liked to wear a very rounded-shaped frame glass back then? Nagase liked to wear hot pants and show his long legs.
As for the tv appearence, I also have Tetsuwan Dash episodes but never forund of Gachinko. I only know that Gachinko is like realizing one's dream? Like to meet an artist, or something like that. Am I rite? Hahha I dont know because there's no description or whatsoever about Gachinko in English and I know nothing about Japanese. TOKIO is one of the groups that has the most varity tvs back then, thanks to Leader.

the most things i remember about gachinko is yes they help people reach their dreams... there was a boxing segment, an acting segment, a weight loss segment etc. it was a pretty good show.
and yeah, back then their costumes... actually, alot of johnnys costumes in general were awful in the late and mid 90s omg nagase and his hot pants.... every single performance lol.
right now, one of my fave variety shows is Mentore G. I wish I knew about it earlier because it's an awesome show. it's really funny lol and i'm happy that they're getting a 1 hour slot opposed to the 30 min slot.
btw, thanks again for the dvd hidden tracks lol. I got the ones for GIGs 2006 to work XD i don't even know how people can figure that stuff out on their own _________________

Oh yes, as for Mentore G, the show will move to golden time starting from this April and the show time also extended to 1 hour. Isn't that great? TOKIO has been really working hard nowadays. I love Mentore G too adn Taichi has the best part where he tastes the food in front of everybody, while the rest are just drooling...ahhahaa
Yes I also wonder how people able to find their way to the hidden track. They said some of the stores in Japan would reveal the DVD has the hidden tracks but I dont know if they tell people how to find it.

omg taichi has the best job in the world and i keep wondering how he's the only one that got that job lol. Mentore G will do great in an hour time slot i think. They did the same with tetsuwan dash and the show is still going strong after all these years.
I guess i wouldn't doubt it that the stores would say how to find the secrets lol because I was just watching a music station and on one of aiko's dvds, you had to do all this stuff to get to the secret stuff and they were showing the viewers how to get to one of them. lol the japanese have taken dvd easter eggs to another level.
if you're interested, whenever i get my box of gachinko tapes(my mother informed me they were moved to storage today... ) i will make you a copy of the dvds i'll let you know when i get them. i have to clear out some other tapes first so we can make room. _________________

LOL yes Taichi in his orange costumes. In Starving Man, Gussan composed the lyrics and something about orange (Taichi) was mentioned. I'm sure its about Taichi since the song is for the Mentore ending. I really hope this new time slot will not make the show different but if it were to be extended to one hour, wouldnt it be a new segment or they just prolong the corridor and talk part?

ahaha it's funny because one of the guests mentioned that taichi really says "UMAI" or "OISHII" just like that when he eats normally. i was watching another program where he and yamaguchi were eating and he really does do it lol. i think the new time slot will go well and i think i read somewhere there will be more segments. I highly doubt that the talks will be that much longer, however i think they might stretch the talks jsut a lil bit at least because alot of the times that is one of the best parts of the show.

there is one tokio show i'm looking for though... i found clips of it on youtube but they did like a special 2 hour show in like 2004 where they did various skits and stuff with like "omoshiro oosama" and like a power rangers type skit... they were both hilarious and i regret not being much into tokio or jpop or johnnys at the time _________________

random thing about tokio, "kodocha" aka "kodomo no omocha" came out in the last year on dvd in the US finally. I was excited for 2 reasons, tokio sang one of the theme songs and matsuoka was a guest star on the first episode. The joy was quickly killed when i saw the first episode and it was shinohara tomoe's song instead of tokio's, and the whole part with matsuoka... the audio was cut out and any mention of tokio was completely cut out. apparently they couldn't get the rights curse you JE... _________________
