 |
|
Hi everyone
Now I went to Japan for 3 times. Already after the first time I knew, its my Country and I really want to learn the language.
So I bought many books and cds and started selfstudying. Well, its difficult as I thought. The main problem is the time. At the moment a lot of my time I need for work.
Of course I know it would take very much time to learn the language by myself. Thats why I decided to learn japanese in Japan. Now I save some money to make my dream come true.
Next year I want to go!
I already searched about language schools and I think I found a great school. I want to join the school from WLE (World Link Education) http://www.wle-japan.com Well, the full program for one year costs over 20.000 Euro, but everything is included. Lessons, host family, work shops and trips.
Since now I couldn't found someone who already joint this school. Maybe here is someone who knows?
Or how about other schools? Has anyone some experience about japanese language schools in Japan and can make some suggestions?
I want to join a school for a whole year.
I hope you can give me some tips!
Thanks a lot! |

 |
|
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has taken, or know's any good schools that teach Japanese in New York City (tri state area).
Here are the things I am looking for:
1)Has to be in NYC(DUH!) heh
2)Actual classes(not some online course, I want the real deal and hopefuly from a Japanese professor)
3)Has to be a Summer course(I want to start this summer, since I am not taking any college classes summer 1 or 2)
4)Hopefuly good reputation(like a friend told ya which has learned a lot, or the reviews speak for themself)
Note: Yes I know most colleges offer Japanese courses, however my college does not offer any during this summer.
Thank you very much, and I really appreciate the help. I am looking forward to your amazing responses. _________________

I don't know if they are reliable or not, but it's a list of bad words and insults you might've heard in dramas.
Here's the link
My favorite is: Curry aji no unko ka unko aji no curry ka docchi ga ii? _________________

Wow, why take the most expensive school? There are lot's of other school's which don't even cost 1/3 (or less!) of it. Besides, how would you acquire 20,000 euro's in approx 1 year? Although that school is offering host familly's, most of the others offer a dormitory to live in (pay other expenses yourself, thus find a job too). It's all cheaper and I also think you'd learn most from it since you'll live together with other students so you could really learn a lot from each other. _________________

Why don't you chek with the Japan Society in New York or the Japanese Consulate of New York....they're bound to have information on that issue. |

I'm also searching for information on studiying in Japan and I came across this site: http://www.langubridge.com/tklong.htm
A whole year with homestay is with this programme only 7380 USD ... I hope it's a help |
that is vastly cheaper than some other programs...not to say that should be your only criteria but it does seem worthy of investigation. |

You should also keep in mind (if you want to continue your studies afterwards that is) that it's credited at the Japanese Ministry of Education. In that way you may enter all sorts of colleges after your Japanese language study. _________________

Cool. It clutters the webpage, but it does let me "read" the kanji. |

Don't you know that reading is knowing. And knowing is half the battle. |
