And i don't think that matsu jun will surpasses the Master , I mean Abe ...
and for the Kurosawa fans , this remake gives an opportunity to discover the original ... open your mind ... it's just a movie after all |
I've watched hidden fortress, that's why the sight of the peasant character being over-promoted (matsujun's) than the general (abe's) is quite ridiculuos...
anyhow i think abe'll be just fine remaking the character toshiro mifune once did
hopefully it'll be just some promotional work

Abe nothing else !!! |
He looks too "modern" in these pics, like they worried about losing his women fans by making him native. It's a shame because he's a great actor that can "disappear" into his role whether it's modern, ancient, comedic, or treacherous.

All right , I have bought the original and i plan to see it before the remake , maybe i will understand what you meant. I already told before that i don't think that matsu jun is a good choice for this role ...
For the others:
Kijinnmaru
what do you mean by "too modern"?
Did you see this taiga before speaking ?!
Since When The performance is judged by the actor's face ?
He don't look too modern , i will post the last pics in this forum of Abe to show you that you are wrong.
Anyway
I feel that I'm not welcome here anymore, it's a sad and bitter feeling , because i came here to share my joy with other Abe's fan . Seems that they are not here .I leave you alone To laugh at him all you want .

I recommand you to re-watch kekkon dekinai otoko , whenever you miss the "ass" too much !! I wish you a good viewing... |

I assure you that the others are fans of Abe-san as well. Please don't take offense. The sign of a TRUE fan is someone who can joke about their idol, but still love them just the same. To become too defensive, and to place your idol on a pedestal, and believe that they can do no harm, is border-line obsessive.
I love cracking jokes of Abe's ass (no pun intended ) but he's still in my top three J-actors. And everyone who knows me knows I'm his fan. Making jokes doesn't mean I'm disloyal to him. He'd prolly join in the fun as well. He's a funny guy, after all.
So please don't leave! We need you to spread the Abe-Love. |
Did she say she was leaving? If so there is definitely something Lost in Translation for somebody to take offense regarding a few jokes....

Whenever I post I feel that I speak in the desert, maybe this topic isn't interesting for the others , just for the pranksters. Then I leave .Nothing else to say. |
Man, you are way too serious. Abe Hiroshi is a good actor but just because people might not share your high level of enthusiasm for the man doesn't mean you need be so dire in your estimation of others. Trust me I'm being diplomatic here.
Do we all have to flip out and drool over the man to express out admiration for him? I just finished posting how I enjoyed his acting in a film I recently saw.
If you want me to kiss his ass instead of joking about it....it ain't gonna happen.

pervert |
Well I did say he's a good actor....and put it a short review signaling one of his most recent films. That's more than other people have posted with the exception of yourself.
It's all a matter of timing....when he starred in Kekkon Dekinai Otoko there was a lot of discussion about Abe...but since he's not airing in any doramas at the moment, there's a lull in the discussion. For example, Rie Miyazawa rarely does doramas....so there's very little discussion about her here...it's only natural...this is a site dedicated to doramas after all.
I'm not going to cry about it.
