X Japan is also my favorite band ever. The combination of Toshi's vocals with the instrumental background (drums, guitars and violins) is magic. I love it how some of their songs are really hardcore but then again they have beautiful ballads like Endless Rain and Crucify my love. Songs like Dahlia have everything in them; 8 minutes of pure metal/speed metal, great guitare solo's, beautiful vocals and even classic music parts with violin solo's from heaven.

I'm really into music, though I never buy any albums, but I can assure you that when im going back to Japan in march im gonna buy all 4 of them of X Japan. They earn every dime they get.

And the fact that a topic about X Japan only has 2 pages with comments is a disgrace in my opinion U Suck . Aya Ueto 1660 pages ??!! Is she even an artist ? Only because she has a cute face she has been able to become famous and some people like to share their fantasies with eachother. Shame on you ! Shake Head

For the ones who don't know it yet:

X JAPAN IS BACK !

That's right. After 10 years they have made a new song this fall named "I.V.". It's used as the ending theme song of the movie Saw IV.

This is the song (there's not a perfect quality of the song yet because it still has to be released officially):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FflLTV7mnOQ&feature=related

And this is the Japanese news broadcast mentioning it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbyzSvNL3VU

The song is in my opinion absolutely amazing. It feels like they haven't changed a bit in those 10 years. The song is not going to be on the soundtrack CD of Saw IV but as they have made a PV of it, I'm sure it will be released as a single. There will be a concert in the spring of 2008 in Tokyo. As I will be in Tokyo during that time, I really hope to see it !

X is my forever love (pun kinda intended), and not going to lose the spot.

And actually, I.V.'s PV is going to appear on the SAW-dvd.
So it's like someone over @ JPM put it: buy the PV, get a crappy horror-film free of charge Mr Green

Unbelievable ! I'll be in Tokyo around that time so I'm absolutely going to attend it ! No doubt tickets will be sold old in no-time so I'll need to be quick. I don't really know what the difference is between the 2 shows, maybe the first show will have more older songs (destruction : looking back to the past) while the second show is more focused on their new album. In that case, I'll go for the first show cause I've always wanted to hear them playing my favorite songs of them live.

Anyway, this is going to be a BLAST !! w00t!

Any X Japan fans in LA? Here's your chance:

X Japan to film music videos in Hollywood

Anime News Network reports that rock band X Japan will be making an appearance in Los Angeles on January 9. The band will not be performing a live concert, but instead will be filming four music videos.

The JRock Nation website states the band will be filming on the streets of Hollywood, and they are accepting sign-ups for fans interested in participating. According to Navigate Hollywood, the filming will close down a section of Hollywood Boulevard between 10:00pm on January 9 and 7:00am on January 10.

X Japan headed for Lollapalooza

On Sunday, Yoshiki announced that X Japan intends to play at this year's Lollapalooza festival, scheduled for August 6-8 in Chicago. Tentative reports of X Japan performing there first surfaced last month, but now it appears that the possibility will become a reality.

As a voting member of the Recording Academy, Yoshiki attended the Grammys on Sunday night. During an interview by reporters on the red carpet, Yoshiki revealed the news about Lollapalooza. It is said that X Japan received an offer from the festival's organizers to play on the main stage, and the band has decided to take it. A formal announcement with details is expected to be made later this month.

X Japan would be the first Japanese artist to perform on Lollapalooza's main stage. It would also be the band's first U.S. concert, though they already have plenty of fans around the world. They had planned a world tour in 2009, but due to various circumstances, they canceled most of their shows. However, if all goes well

Back in the 90's it used to travel to quite a few cities, saw it here in '96 Applaud and again I think in 2000, Bonk then they stopped the touring and just have that one city special concert. Puppy Dog Eyes
