| stop watching it..and you'll regret it...that is a one hell good drama...the sequence is very good also...but if only you like serious drama.... |

I watched the first 3 episodes and gave up on the show.
Too corney, too melodramatic for my tastes.
I had the feeling I was watching a really long Hospital sketch on some Variety/Comedy show, and when they hadn't produced a punchline after 3 hours... I gave up. |

It's one of the best japanese tv series with perfect storyline and excelllent cast crew.
Like the one upstairs said: miss it and you'll regret!
It's a much better tv than kinds of idol tv,such as "Pride" which has very stupid storyline and idol stars.
"The Great White Tower" is just like its name:great!so exciting.
The casts are just fight the acting with each other, you'll surely enjoy it if you like this kinds of real life stuff. |

i watched till about ep8? don't remember. its quite a good one, the story is filled with great characters.
the story comes from a famous novel. it was first turned into a movie back in the 60s. |

I just finished the secord part over the weekend...it was really good (that is, if you like the kind of drama that fills with all the dark and bad things). Both the lead actor were really good but i just wished 'satomi' wasn't that naive....but a very impressive and hateful good job done by the actor who play 'goro zaizen'  I really hate his role in this drama...but well, if you really hate him in this drama, then he is a good actor, isn't it.
You may have to be patience though if you want to watch this drama till the end...the first part can really get into your nerve...what with the bad and arrogant goro zaizen winning everything...but you have to wait for the second part to see him being punished for it....all i can say is that it's different from other dramas. |

serious drama.....with superb cast
politicall drama full with twist and turns.....
very realistic drama that showed us about the fighting between power to rule the hospital, no more heros who saved lives, its about who will get to the highest peak....
but then, i only watched till epi 7......still got 9 disc left......

| The Great White Tower had a version aired in the 70's. It's available for rental at my local store. Of course the actors are different, and the duration is 30+ instead of 21 episodes I think. Anyone see it by any chance? |

Hi, i think all of u have watch Shiroi kyoto (white tower) right?
Ok which one you think is the best?
1. Karasawa toshiaki acting or yosuke eguchi acting?
2. The character between Zaisen Goro and Satomi shuji. Which one u prefer?
3. Well, what do you think if both actor change their position, so yosuke eguchi play Zaisen goro, and karasawa toshiaki play satomi shuji?

Unfortunately I don’t think that many people here have seen Shiroi Kyoto. Since most don’t live in Japan and don't understand Japanese it is difficult for many people to have the opportunity to watch every drama.
As for the questions:
1. As for the acting I'm not really sure who I would choose, I think they both did a great job playing their parts.
2. I like Goro more I think his character had a lot more depth than Satomi's. It's very easy to dislike Goro with everything he does to get where he is. Both of them play similar people who chose completely opposite paths. No matter how much I wanted to hate Goro at some points I couldn’t help but sympathize with him; even though in the same situation I would be in Satomi's place.
3. I don't really know if their roles could be reversed. After watching 21 episodes and they each played their parts so well it's really hard to imagine them in each others roles. |

I've watched the drama till the end and I quite agreed that both of them fit perfectly with their roles...i don't think it would touched the audience that much if they switched roles....it was a very good drama...nice plot and i quite understand why goro doesn't get it when satomi think differently from him...very nice drama although some parts you might hate goro very much for being so cruel....and still thinks he's doing the right thing?!!! really can get to your nerve.   |

Hello..
Malaysian TV (8TV) currently showing this show every Saturday and Sunday. I really love it because it so intense and not typical dorama we usually saw.
Well, can someone post the episode guide till the end coz this shoe is tooo long...21 episode total. and I don't really like watching drama that long, unless it has a very good ending. I search on the net and got some few tips on the ending but not the complete story. I hate when I知 very excited watching something and the ending really really bad...like Korean drama especially SBS that will kill the hero/heroin in the end.
Can someone post the episode guide�.???or link to any webpage that have this guide on this show (in English) |

ooooh .... i'm currently watching this drama ... till 12th episode i tink ... 
 
(1) i tink both actors did great !!!! the combination is sooo great !! 
(2) i like Satomi Shuji's character a lot ... haha ... find him really cool ... Goro sometimes really gets on my nerves ... haha ...
(3) i tink the characters suts them ! karasawa toshiaki acted real well till i hated him so much in the show ... haha ... yosuke eguchi's satomi shuji is sooo cool and noble ....
** oh yah !!! Ito Hideaki (伊藤英明) who acted as "Yanagihara Hiroshi" (柳原 弘) ... he's very cute ... haha .. as in the actor himself ...
GREAT DRAMA !!

| The original 70's version will air around here, for some reason... (Fujisankei as usual stiffing us from new things under the pretext of some anniversary) so I guess it's gonna be dare to compare... |

At first I thought this drama is not going to nice but boy was I wrong , luckily I stick to this drama and have to say it's really exciting .
Instead of watching the drama from 8TV ( Malaysia )I follow from the Astro Phoenix Channel which is showing till epi 13th now |

everytime i hear the ending song of shiroi kyoto, i'm haunted by it...
anyone know who sang it and what's its title? i've tried to find it through its lyrics, but apparently it's a Christian song.. but i would only like the version in shiroi kyoto...

btw, i think the show is wonderful~ and quite exciting~ 
i was kinda surprised thou after finding out (fr here) that it's as long as 21 episodes! that's why even though i keep expecting the channel to advertise the next show that will replace shiroi kyoto (it's in its 13ep now).. there's none! hehehe~  |
