Hello all!!
At the beginning i wanted to see this taiga drama because of Hiroshi Abe ( love him In love ) .
I ended addicted to this drama after seeing only 2 episodes . But i want to know if Hiroshi is in many episodes or not although i will see it even if it is not the case!!
After Musashi , this is my 2nd taiga drama , I hopes to enjoy it as much as Musashi

I have to admit that Yoshitsune is my least favorite of the Taigas that I've seen. Nowhere near the same quality of drama as Musashi.

As to Hiroshi Abe, he has a very very small part in the series.

Actually, Tackey aside I found the story of the tragic hero somewhat fascinating and I like the score. Since Toshiie to Matsu, I thought Koumei Ga Tsuji was the least enjoyable (Furin Kazan is too early to tell but I found the cast... bleh ).

Hm I don't know why but this is a taiga drama which I think is more for fanservice than seriousness. Fuurin Kazan is much more depressing and Komyo ga Tsuji is also more mature.
Yoshitsune is depicted too naive. I doubt he was THIS naive.. Bang Head
And I hated Tomoe Gozen's story so much. Everything is pure fiction. OK the character itself is fictional too, but she wasn't Yoshinaka's concubine in Heike Monogatari at all, just an attandant. I always loved Yoshinaka's little commander in chief Imai no Shiro Kanehira who was a much more important person in Heike Monogatari to Yoshinaka than Tomoe could have ever been. So I was happy that he was in the drama anyway.
Yoshinaka didn't fire Tomoe because of Yoshitaka. She was fired because he would have been ashamed to die with a woman. He wanted to die with Kanehira his "soulmate" how he calls him Grumble.

It was said that Yoshitsune was made to get teenagers interested in Taiga doramas rofl. In Yoshitsune there are also very unconvincionally acting female actresses:
Ishihara Satomi's Shizuka is very passive and I couldn't like her too much except in her dancing scene in Kamakura in the end.
Koike Eiko's acting is just Beaten: I think her eyes look pretty disturbing they are like this Shocked the whole time (I have also seen Ooku with her as Oden no Kata and there she also has this eyes). And I hated Tomoe Gozen's fictional storyline.
Ueto Aya I think was alright but nothing spectacular she was just a village woman the whole time and didn't do much.

She was just a big name prop from what I gather... Just to lure in her fanboy base.

Suckers. Beaten hehe

In the end Yoshitsune's retainer Kisanta felt in love with Ueto's character XD.
The most stupid thing was: Yoshitsune was known that he had many female and male lovers. He was known as a player. He laid with nearly every woman in Kyoto and in the dorama he only loves Shizuka bleh. In the dorama he never touches his wife Moe rofl and their four year old daughter was completly taken out.
In reality he even killed his own wife and his daughter before he died...
They just wanted to make Tackey look good.
In other doramas the main character always has concubines or lovers or something which makes it more real but in Yoshitsune ...

rofl
Well, Takky needs all the help he can get to be made look good because he is so not good in anything. And perhaps all the fangirls would have stopped watching if they would have been confronted with too many lovers.

And since everybody else had surely stopped watching, they were kind of dependent on the female viewers. hehe

I gave up after episode 4 or 5 bleh

Well if you go with history Kiso Yoshinaka would love his retainer and best friend Imai Kanehira. It was said in the dorama that Tomoe also comes from Kiso village even though it was never said in Heike Monogatari Nut. They didn't want to make Yoshinaka gay because Kanehira and Yoshinaka died together which is often depicted as a liebestod. In the dorama this part, the saddest from the whole Heike Monogatari was pretty ruined Shameful Cry.
They had to give Yoshitsune only one girlfriend because he needed to be depicted as faithful. The real Yoshitsune was far from this: There was also the daughter of Kichii Hogen called Minazuruhime and a 13 year old girl with a flute.
When he escaped from Yoritomo he had 12 women with whom he had a sexual relationship with him Twisted. He didn't care what happened to Shizuka at all. Minazuru died with 18 years because she wanted to follow Yoshitsune but she was too weak for a journey.

Well I just wanted to see Imai Kanehira so after episode 25 in which he died I didn't have fun anymore. Yoshitsune didn't interest me at all because I have heard, read, seen his story in mangas, dramas, websites etc... for about thousand times and Tackey didn't interpret him too well...
I was disappointed with Kiso Yoshinaka's and Imai's story. They mainly focused on the fictional Tomoe Gozen so it was boring Doh!.
Well I watched the ending episodes because I wanted to see Shizuka's dance and Yoshitsune's death.

I sat through less. hehe

I'm noticing a "trend" with the lousy Taiga's(I've only seen Musashi, Shinsengumi!, bit of Yoshitsune); The better ones like Musashi are written to tell a tale. Shinsengumi! and Yoshitsune were written to be either character vehicles or worse, actor vehicles. Both Shinsengumi! and Yoshitsune chose popular lead actors and, based on everything I've read about their productions and peoples criticism, the scripts were written to benefit the images of these actors rather than the tale. I think this was most prevalent in Shinsengumi! where they should have ditched the Shinsengumi and Kondo Isami and just called it "Shingo Katori!".

You should check out this year's Taiga, Fuurin Kazan The lead actor, Masaaki Uchino is hardly a fan girl pretty boy, you've got some great actresses (Jun Fubuki, Chizuru Ikewaki among others) and some old pros like Shinichi Chiba. This one's been pretty entertaining so far.
