I loved it. But be advised, I'm a Miki fanatic.
I thought her transition from slacker -- to politician -- to boss was very well handled.
I thought they did a pretty good job of showing the relationship/war between politicians and the press by making a city hall TV reporter a regular cast member, and a semi antagonist.
And since it's a Japanese dorama, they had to at least touch on a love story. So they hinted at her feelings for her bodyguard. He's sort of a crush, father figure, protector type for her. But it's not a romantic love story.
This is one of the shows I watched without subs. So I can't go into a lot of detail. But I will say I enjoyed the show, and found myself wanting to watch the next episode as soon as the one I'd just watched ended. |

Top Lady has some comic moments. But this is a Drama, not a comedy.
There's nothing wackey in here, no silly, zany, screwball stuff.
Then again, it's certainly not as heavy or as dark as say... Sleeping Forest, or Ice World.
It's a fish out of water story. A young woman with no interst in, government, politics, or even work... comes home for her estraged father's funeral, and is talked into running for her father's job as Mayor of a fairly large city.
If you're not a Miki fan, I'd back off. Because this is her show, top to bottom. |

well, even tho im not a fan of miki nakatani but i dont mind watching her as long as the drama is good and worth watching...

Well, I can't say that it's horribly bad... just that I find the plot very mild... there's no part which manage to grab my attention...
But then again, tastes vary, so maybe you'll find it good. |

| not really slow, i would say the tempo is quite average... just that the plot is not interesting enough for me... |

| I dun really remember the story... but it's like what Geezer said, it's about a girl who definitely does not fit into politics, yet who actually becomes the mayor... it's not really a GTO-like tough girl story... |
