She was in NYC promoting her 2009 new album This is the One. She promoted at Sephora (the make up store) and she even had appearances planned at Best Buy in California but because she was sick, she failed to appear at the Best Buy events. She's back in Japan now. If you go back a couple of pages, I posted a link to her interview in Hawaii in July! Its the best interview ever!
Here's one of the snippets of the promotion in NYC. She was surprised with the great turnout..

Yes, you're right. She had her acting debut as an actress in 2001 for his drama "Hero". Her song "Can you Keep A Secret" was the theme song for it. According to wikipedia, she appeared for only 14 seconds and that was the episode with the highest viewership rating. Funny, huh?

haha!! that's what I thought when I saw this pic!! Before I became an insane Hikki fan, I didn't realize she was pretty at all..But after recognizing her talent in song-writing and amazing angelic voice, I saw the inner beauty coming out of her and that's when I thought she was pretty.
Her down-to-earth personality is quite attractive as well..She hardly cares about what she wears..not like one of those typical J-artists nowadays. She used to wear pajamas outside her house (even when she was famous) and no one recognized or paid attention to her. But eventually, she stopped doing that after a lot of people told her that was weird.
I love the causal and down-to-earth Hikki!
