Some of those widescreen LCD monitors are pretty bitchin'... Though I think CRTs still have better color fidelity...

Everytime I visit the site I experience a sort of lag. If I switch back to the IE window that Jdorama.com is in it takes awhile for it to be ready, and when I scroll it lags and takes a long time to actually move. Things seem to load at regular rates, I just have problems scrolling around and looking at the website. Any ideas?

Did it only occur recently or it has been slow since the day you first came here? Ever tried another browser like Firefox?

Well I've only been coming to this site for two or three weeks, but it has been doing it since the first time I visited. I haven't tried a new browser, and I'm pretty used to IE so I'd like to save that for a last resort.

Wierd, I use Firefox most of the time, and IE for testing.

Try clearing your cache, in case you've some corrupt files for the site.

I'm not sure of the problem. Just tried the site on several machines and on IE and Firefox, on Windows XP and even Safari on Mac. No problems. Do you encounter the same problem with any other pc?

After I load the window, there is a lag until the controls start working of about 3 seconds. However, this is true of all web sites not just jdorama.
It started after I upgraded to ie7 and after several patches.... I'm sure this is some kind of delay to check for viruses/spam could even be coming from Norton. I'm used to it now and figure that sooner or later MS or Norton will fix the delay.

I'm looking at the site on a computer in the computer lab downstairs and the site works fine here. It must be some weird setting I have on, or don't have on, on my computer. This is frustrating. I'll play around with IE or something and see if I can't find some obscure setting that needs to be changed.

are you hitting http://jdorama.com or http://www.jdorama.com

the former is much slower loading than the later.. of course, it could just be my connection.

I'm guessing the problem is simply connection or your own personal compy. Both ways load fine for me.

It depends on what thread you're in. Some are image intensive. It should improve once you're done downloading all the pics, sigs and avatars.

Also, I had something similar once, but it was caused by my cache size being too large. In IE6, it has to be lower than 200mb. Maybe it's ok in IE7... Head Scratch
