Have they had anything else other than Partners?

They seem to be running that series perpetually. Sweat

my dad loves Partners.. all 3 series. Other than the usual sunday night 9pm drama, and the morning short asakaasaskjas (i forget what they're called, asakura?) that's about it. its mostly variety shows.

Something tells me you're more interested in Iijima than Nishida. Naughty

Made a test run this morning recording the current asadora. I was able to get a perfect recording from the 6 am and 7am broadcasts. This bodes well as I believe I will attempt to record the new asadora Hitomi. Now that it's shown 5 days a week it will be less than a year for the entire series. In addition with multiple showings I should be able to patch bad spots from cars passing by from secondary recordings.

Kanryotachi no Natsu is starting on June 20th, 9pm: http://jdorama.com/drama.1449.htm.

Definitely not a fanboy/fangirl drama. But it doesn't look like anybody here at JDorama has seen it.

No subtitles at D-Addicts, for one. Sweat

6th episode of Hitomi today. I'm still waiting for the magic moment when this asadora becomes interesting or one of the characters becomes more than a mindless robot reading lines from a script. Strong second thoughts if I want to/will continue recording this so far plotless, talentless, sceneryless string of videos. Doh!

What is it with KSCI that their producers can't seem to bring a good and NEW drama to their air waves... who needs endless police (just like watching mindless American TV) or manga dramas.... and now this mistake of an asadora.

I'll record it for one more week in hopes that this moth will turn into a butterfly.

^ When I saw Sasai Eisuke in his requisite cross-dresser role, I thought to myself, "This is not a good sign."

For some reason all of 18.2's video is in 4:3 SD format instead of 16:9 HD... Any idea why? Head Scratch

It ticks me off when the NHK programming is truncated on both sides, even cutting off some of the subtitles. Grumble

Time to contact them and complain, I guess.

They're going to start showing one of Aoi Miyazaki's golden oldies (it's from 2002) starting Sept. 26th @ 10pm:http://asianmediawiki.com/Keitaideka_Zenigata_Ai

Here's the UTB link, they got the month wrong:http://utbhollywood.com/en/drama/mobile_ai/index.php

Finally something to look forward to on 18.2
Now if they would only start broadcasting in 16:9 format.

Sent them an email about this. don't expect any reply. Here's a copy:

Dear 18.2 persons.

Do you think you will ever begin to broadcast in 16:9 format like the rest of the world?

Isn't it time for you to wear the big boy pants?

Every new TV sold now is wide screen in case you missed that fact. Even holdouts
with the archaic 4:3 screens can watch 16:9 programs with black top and bottom bars.

Hoping your wonderful programs will join the rest of the world SOON, before the
Kohakou uta Gassen so we can see that program the way all of Asia sees it.

Thank you,

Ralph Moratz
