very interesting....but i wonder if the causal relationship flows the other way...are the vegans smarter because they're eating more nutritious food instead of all the crap that most of us eat which is sure to dull your brain, your health, and your senses...

having said that look at these yummy vegan photos....

I believe it. I have a genius in my class. When I brought in donuts as a treat for everyone, he wouldn't take one. When I asked why, he said "Miss, there is no nutritional value in a donut." Since then, whenever I bring in unhealthy junk, I always remember to get him a fruit.

"Studies, for example, of vegetarian Seventh-Day Adventists in California suggest that they have lower rates of almost all major chronic diseases, and greater longevity, than their omnivorous counterparts," Katz said. "Evidence is also strong and consistent that greater."

Interesting article b-kun! Thanks!

My Mom was raised as a Seventh-day Adventist. She left that religion in her latter teen years. She cooked all kinds of meals, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian when I grew up. Hmmm does that mean that only half of me is smart? Bonk hehe

Surprisingly, the boys at this forum are not easily offended... unless you talk about politics.

But you and I know the truth. Wink

Can you say clogged arteries? Sweat

Speaking of eating....I tried a local soul food place yesterday. Not bad, at all. I was in the mood for some fried chicken, collard greens and potato salad. They fried the chicken once I placed my order. For desert some sweet potato pie. Every so often you gotta have some good soul food! Jumpie
