BTW, this place is now open for lunch SEVEN days a week which means you can go there to try the ramen on the weekend if you can't make it during the weekday due to professional or personal obligations.
I went there for lunch last month and it was delicious!!! The choices were: tsukemen or the regular ramen. My friend chose ramen (even though everyone in the place was having tsukemen) and it didn't look that great. The noodles were quite thin. The tsukemen broth was rich but not too salty and the pork was very tender. I'm planning to go back with the family.

That's great to hear, Sengo! My proselytizing hasn't fallen on deaf ears I'm glad my raving about this place has gotten some affirmation from a regular here like you!
As I said before, it's the premiere Japanese noodle shop in L.A. right now...without a doubt!

Glad to be of service.
Right on. Chalio, the restaurant in the video clip, is pretty famous from what I understand. That's one of the go-to places my friend and his family goes to if I remember correctly.
I've never been but I'd like to try it to compare to El Parian.

^ Nice.
You've really been hitting the restaurants quite a bit recently.
Yeah I guess since I've been working out pretty rigorously and making most of my own meals I've had the desire to go out every few days to eat something yummy. Even today the ceviche run was only after a good hike with a buddy at Runyon Canyon Park in Hollywood. It's got a long uphill section for a really good calorie burn and muscle work out for your legs!
But that's going to end soon cuz I'm going to being curtailing my foodie forays severely for the next month or so. I'll be on lock down. With one notable exception. The LA WEEKLY Gold Standard 2012 food tasting event on March 4th.
Claire Simmons, 33-Year-Old UK Woman, Has Only Eaten Pizza For 31 Years

Thirty-three-year-old Claire Simmons, of Notting Hill in London, is in a monogamous relationship with a dangerous partner: pizza.
For the last 31 years of her life, she has eaten nothing but plain cheese pizza for every single meal, she tells the Sun. And now, her doctors say that Simmons' monotonous diet could kill her.
Simmons says she exercises and drinks plenty of water. The problem is that her limited diet -- the result of a mental illness known as Selective Eating Disorder -- doesn't provide all the minerals and vitamins she needs for solid health.
Simmons exposed her difficult story to the public after reading the story of Stacey Irvine, sometimes called "Chicken Nugget Girl," a fellow Brit who was hospitalized after eating only chicken nuggets for a decade and a half.
