Not as common as the ubiquitous hamachi (young yellowtail) in sushi restaurants around here but it is so delicious, perhaps more so.

Haha. Those are chives I believe, so the flavor is a bit more mellow than green onions. Smile

Exactly. Total fusion. Hehe. I enjoyed it. I still prefer a traditional Hawaiian poke but this was tasty, too. I believe it was made with a white miso paste which is milder than other forms of miso and not as salty so it didn't overpower the taste of the tuna.

Nigorizake.


Spinach and bacon salad, topped with bonito shavings.


Sea bream carpaccio.


Karaage.


Salmon skin salad.


Grilled Hamaguri clams.


Broiled salmon, marinated with miso.

Nice. I've had tai (sea bream) as sushi but never prepared as a carpaccio. Very cool, man. Looks hit.
