LV has always remained #1 in my Jdorama list... UP this thread! Yeah

Got a juicy vid courtesy of emule wherein Yamaguchi TOmoko was a guest in Bistro SMAP, I never got tired of Long Vacation. I use it as the title of my blog. I love the chemistry of Kimura-kun and Yamaguchi. The storyline and everything about the series... and...I saw some sparks...

Here are some intriguing scenes in this SMAPXSMAP episode dated 7/19/2004.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSq92-w0MR8

Actually, I was able to watch a follow-up of this episode, a year or two after this was broadcasted, Kimura-kun admitted it and Nakai was so shocked he said: "I might end up at the wrong side of the road tonight!"

Hope u guys enjoy this...

Thanks for the video! I did enjoy it! Long Vacation is definitely number one in my book. I haven't watched it a second time, but listening to the song "Deeper and Deeper" by Cagnet always brings back the memories of it. I found this on imeem.com and I hope you enjoy it.

The quality of a drama has nothing to do with its thread activity. If it did, Last Friends would be in the "minus" page range.

HAHAHA

I still expected more fans though. Especially being at number 6 in the top 50 IIRC.

Another reason I love LV:

Airuton Sena (Takuya) is named after Honda's beloved Ayrton Senna Smile

ZOMG those two totally had TEH SHPARKZ!!!!!!! Naughty You can't manufacture kemmistree, man. (Thanks for sharing, yanaliao! Victory! Peace!) And I love how Tomoko seems game for anything. Beaten Love her spunk, her confidence. Very sexeh! She and Kimura were a great match-up in LV. Applaud

@ Yola: Ooooh, I'm planning a re-watch myself! Maybe in a few weeks. (Just came off a re-watch of SORA KARA... so I knew I just had to turn to my default palate cleanser and comfort KimuTaku drama: PURAIDO. Then afterwards I'm sure I'll be primed and ready for LV, yay. Mr Green )

@ yebisu: Thanks for the OST!!!! (Guess what I'm listening to right now? Naughty) LV just wouldn't be the same without Cagnet providing most of the BGM. The first time I heard the opening strains of "Little by Little" I went, "they sound an awful lot like TLC!" Well, I like TLC, so it's all good! (R.I.P. Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes.)

More like Brazil's beloved Ayrton Senna... But Honda/Japan adored him as well.

RIP. Sad

I'd say, still my favourite J-Dorama to date. And it's what now? 2009? hehe

While you are right, If Senna was never affiliated with Honda, Takuya's character would never have been named after him though Victory! Peace!

hmm I guess so Crazy, but in the drama he was referred to often as airuton senna. Thats why I assumed his last name was airuton! haha. Momo and Minami would call him that. I just never picked it up until this time around

Anyone know whats up with the billboard that is in the drama everywhere? I really want to know. I tried looking it up for about 30 minutes but couldn't find out anything. But I did see this.

Quote:
"On July 1996, it was a shock to find for Japanese drama fans to see the series quickly released in English subtitles on our local International TV channels. It's the final episode here in the United States and so far a lot of the episodes have been cut by five minutes or so to allow for US advertising. The final episode, unfortunately many people who watched the episodes subtitled will not know how the drama truly ended because they did not include the final Boston scene but ended it with the video collage. It's still good but unfortunately, not many people will who saw it with subtitles will see the true ending."

Anyone know where I can find this boston scene?

oh that was it? I thought there was like a secret episode, but yeah I saw that. I though that because they said it hadn't been subtitled, but this is probably someones own subtitle work. Thanks though! Wave
