Thanks krim! Thanx! Not on your shoulder. Always spray on a pulse point. Try your wrists first. That way if you don't care for the scent it is far away from your nose. Don't stain your shirt. Be sure and remember which scent is on which wrist. hehe Also any good fragrance counter should have a tester bottle and test paper strips to spray on first. Really good counters should have small bowls of coffee beans to sniff to clear your nose between the different scents. Ask the clerk for help. Good Luck! Thumbsup

that is true...it will be the strongest scent possible. Also do not put too much on yourself or too many. I work at a cosmetic and fragrence store and people will come to the register and sometimes I feel like the overwhelming smell will knock me out

hehehe...funny thing is that there is a brand of perfurme called Demetere and its more of a novelty perfume brand but they have some called Sex on the Beach, Red head in bed, different alcoholic concoctions but the best part is that on the front is the recipe. They also have brownie, orance creamsicle, and Jelly Belly smells (which actually smell like the jelly beans)

only on tuesdays. anyway i guess ppl have some pretty strong opinions about fragances....

This discussion reminds me of a scene from the Sopranos....two guys were walking to a hotel room to meet some girls and then one guy turns to his friend and asks,

Guy A: "you think I have enough cologne on?"

Guy B: "it smells like Paco Rabonne crawled up your ass and died"

Anyone knows why it's called eau de toilette? It literally means water of toilet. I know it sounds better than peppermint from a truck stop urinal, but still... Sweat

Not an explanation, but from Wiki:

The concentration by percent/volume of perfume oil is as follows:

* Perfume extract: 20%-40% aromatic compounds
* Eau de parfum: 10-30% aromatic compounds
* Eau de toilette: 5-20% aromatic compounds
* Eau de cologne: 2-5% aromatic compounds

As the percentage of aromatic compounds increases, so does the intensity and longevity of the scent created. Different perfumeries or perfume houses assign different amounts of oils to each of their perfumes. Therefore, although the oil concentration of a perfume in eau de parfum (EDP) dilution will necessarily be higher than the same perfume in eau de toilette (EDT) from within the same range, the actual amounts can vary between perfume houses. An EDT from one house may be stronger than an EDP from another.

There's a new fragrance by Calvin Klein called Man. Over the past few weeks , I've heard a lot of girls saying it was great. I don't know if they were talking about the perfume or the 20' tall ad with a barechested man with six pack abs tho. Sweat

Thought i'd throw this out for anyone in US... (maybe Canada, UK, EU, AUS by the currency option).

Quote:

FragranceNet.com – Shop online or by phone. By using coupon code LAFGP, employees and their families will receive an extra 10% off their order and free US shipping (no minimum).

Edit: It does take 10% off other currencies, but I dont think shipping will be free, nor would it be worth it for anyone other than in canada, unless you absolutely can't find it in your own country, and with the USD sucking a$$, it might actually be cheaper than buying it in the EU or UK.

I was going to post this in the food thread then realized it's not really about food.
