16.22? Meaning it cost $16.22? Wow, that's pretty cheap.

Dir en grey is my favorite band. But unfortunately, due to lack of funds and lack of resources, I only own two albums and four singles. Although I am proud to say that one of those albums happens to be a limited edition of GAUZE with the gorgeous traslucent slipcase to die for. The other album is Kisou, which is my personal favorite. And first presses of myaku, [KR]cube, taiyou no ao (these three being, I believe, difficult to get outside of Japan now), and Child Prey.

For me, Deg's best period was from January to August 2002. First the release of Kisou, then their The Pilgrimage Capsizing the Islands Asia tour, and all the adrenaline culminating in the double release of Six Ugly and Child Prey. My gods, it was glorious. Unfortunately, Kyo's lyrics have...deteriorated since then. I mean, the VULGAR stuff and The Final and saku have good composition, but the lyrics have definitely taken a toll and are just not the same as they were from GAUZE to Kisou. I'll really miss being able to cry while listening to them.

I noticed that all the photos you posted are from MACABRE era. Personally I like all their looks that are post-Enlightenment and Clairvoyance tour and pre-VULGAR release. I guess I'm just not so fond of Toshiya's MACABRE look or Deg's visuals before that because...while they do look good as women, I believe they look hotter as men.

As far as I know, imported Japanese albums cost about $35. That is, unless Mitsuwa sells used CDs...

^ Yea I absolutely love Withering to Death. It gets better every time I listen to it. Merciless Cult, Dead Tree, The Final, and Kodou are my favorite tracks.

I would love to see them perform in the Family Values Tour with Korn but I have to go to college during the dates they are coming near my area. How unfair.

^aW.

But they have been around for a while now. I just recently got into them but I like their old and new works. They're making a big breakthrough in America right now. Hopefully in the future they will lead the way to more JRock artists being recognized here.

Dir en grey is awesome. <3 I'm surprised there's only 14 posts in this thread. I thought they were more popular than that. =3 I love Toshiya and Shinya. ^^ But I love the rest of them too. hehe
