Thanks!

The autumn colors are quite beautiful. I didn't have any set agenda as far as places that I saw. I ate really well and hung out with a few friends that I know in Tokyo and Osaka, some new and some old.

Hehe. Yes, Noboribetsu is a famous area in Japan for "onsen" (hotspring), which is why I went there, and Sapporo is the largest city on the island of Hokkaido. Smile

zn{ (Tsukiji Masamoto). Thanks to a friend's gracious assistance, the Japanese chef knife that I picked out but which was out of stock at the time, while I was visiting the Tsukiji Masamoto knife shop, recently arrived.

Founded in 1845, today the 7th generation owner, Misao Hirano, runs this venerable business within the famed Tsukiji wholesale fish market.

I have a smaller petty knife from another knife maker called Aritsugu that is quite sharp...it does in fact cut like a dream so I decided to cop for a larger chef's knife because it would be more practical for different uses.

This smaller knife was given to me as a gift. Here it is. Check out the engraving. hehe
