| Mediaworks too is guilty of non-subtitling. Its really frustrating especially when Singapore is supposed to be a cosmopolitan city! Even the K-dramas are not subtitled. Hhmm, wonder if SBA (Singapore Broadcasting Authority) should be informed........ |

true ... ya, that's what they've done with roshinate. that's right, no subtitles there either. another insincere one. i guess they think if they provide mandarin tracks it should cover most of the audience who don't understand japanese. i do wonder why it is that they even bother to show japanese dramas locally since they obviously think the audience base is so small as not to be even worth the additional cost to subtitle.
its pretty numbing watching anything in mandarin dubs, the show just loses its flavour. never mind you can't tell if the actor is really carrying the role. |

I think we just lose all source of JDramas... except for the very miserable television channels we have, which doesn't even bother to subtitle them.
It's also not substantiable eonugh for companies to bring in the Official copies of the dramas which will be in DVD as the demand isn't satisfying; but if they ever do, it'll be pretty expensive I guess. Not until the next round of piracy comes, will we get to watch updated Jdramas again I think. |

this one just gets better all the time.
last night's episode mirrors the recession and unemployment woes in singapore.
it is wonderful stuff. imagine your boss is told to axe you and he says he would rather resign than sack his staff, and tells the management to do the dirty job themselves.
or how about a boss who will keep fighting for you to the very end even if it means putting his own job on the line?
and at the end of the day, family is what counts. family and the small priceless humane moments in life are what makes living meaningful.
i love japanese dramas.
