Individually or collectively, I'll take a pass on it. It's good, but not great. The wuxia/chambara films I've seen the in the past are easily better than any of these two Volumes.... Most people who haven't seen that many good wuxia/chambara films may think the swordplay is good, but it's only fair to good, IMO....

You guys are lucky ... While you're seeing Vol. 2, we brazilians didn't see the Vol. 1 yet ... Crazy Angry It will start to play today ...

an OGM file is actually an avi file... i m not too sure of the technical jargons but if u wan u could just rename the file extension from .ogm to .avi and there u have it an avi file... but if u plan to burn it on to a vcd then i m not too sure if it would work or not...

I believe this is incorrect. OGM and AVI are both container formats, but they are different kinds of containers. They are similar because they can contain video, audio and subtitle streams.

You can rename .ogm to .avi, but that does not make it an avi. If you get tools to work with OGM and AVI containers, you can actually convert from one to the other. OGM can also be kind of a supercontainer because it can contain AVI files. I don't know if the opposite works.

Now, you may be able to fool some recalcitrant software into working by changing the extension, but that is probably not the correct way to do it. You should probably get the software that understands OGM containers.

Just my own $.02! Smile

Not me.

Most people were trippin' out on the "historical inaccuracies" of the film and Tom Cruise as the main character... As I've said in the past, if you go to a movie with the 'tude that you won't like it, guess what?? You won't like it... Amazing!

Yeah. I agree, I agree. Some folks need to understand poetic license, I suppose. You know the ABSOTIVE WORST complaint I've heard about the film? That the armor is outdated! Uh . . . didn't Katsunori, Algren and crew represent THE "last of the samurai" (HEY, akin to the title of the film!) and Mr Green so Chatter that Rolling eyes would Nut mean Muack that Sweat they'd Wink have Naughty access Bonk to Applaud armor Rolling eyes old and new. Gasp. It's certainly not likely; but at least it's possible.

Good film.

Yes. You want historical accuracy? Watch a documentary or read a book on the subject... This is the movies, people!

Oh good. I'm off on May 04 so I think I'll use that day to pick it up! Big Grin

I haven't seen it yet, but from what I hear, it's supposedly really good.

The anticipation is rising.....

I hope your expectations aren't too high... You might get disappointed... I knew it was a must-buy on DVD once I saw it. Twice. Smile

Just got home from the cinema. a 10 euro poorer now, hehe. Well, what can I say about the movie. It's less bloody and more drama, a total different approach if you look at the previous installment. My friends were wooing all over the movie, I was rather neutral, neither bad nor good, hehe. Actually I missed all the action scenes from the previous movie.

Hey hey! My sentiments exactly. The commercials led me to believe that there was much more action than what actually took place...

I try not to let my expectations up too much because I hate to be disappointed. So for this movie, my expectations aren't too high. "So-so" rather. We'll see when I get it! Big Grin
