Hamasaki Ayumi to file for divorce

On January 16th, Hamasaki Ayumi announced through her official fan club site, “Team Ayu“, that she is divorcing her husband Manuel Schwarz.

Ayu wrote, “I am reporting that I will be filing for divorce on Monday in America,” and explained the reason for divorce. “The reason lies within myself. At the time of our marriage, we decided to live in America, however, because of the Tohoku Earthquake that occurred two months later, a strong feeling sprouted within me that I didn’t want to be apart from Japan. I wasn’t able to imagine a life in America, and as a result, I left my husband by himself for a long period of time.”

The two met back in August of 2010 during a shoot for “Virgin Road“, when Manuel starred in the PV as Ayu’s husband. Then on January 1st of 2011, the couple tied the knot at a small chapel in Las Vegas.

On January 4th, when Ayu landed in Hawaii for work, reporters called out, “Congratulations on your one year anniversary.” With a smile, Ayu replied, “Thank you. I’ve received many messages from my fans.” She also commented, “After my stay in Hawaii for work, I will go to another place in 2 or 3 days.” Sources say that Ayu returned to Los Angeles after this trip to discuss the divorce proceedings with her husband.

Takuma Shin & Kaku Chikako divorce after 19 years

It’s been reported that actor Takuma Shin (55) and actress Kaku Chikako (50) has filed for divorce.

According to sources, Takuma and Kaku had already been living separately for quite some time before the divorce. The divorce papers were submitted on February 10th by a person closely affiliated with the couple.

The two sent a letter to the media explaining, “Before we knew it, we grew distant. We weren’t able to fill in that gap.” They continued, “The two of us thoroughly talked things over, and as a result, we decided to get a divorce. From here on, we both plan to continue to work hard.”

Takuma and Kaku started dating after starring in the 1992 drama, “Shichinin no Onna Bengoshi“. They held their wedding ceremony in New Zealand in January of 1994, then held a reception at a hotel in Tokyo.

Although the couple had no children, there were no reports that they were on bad terms with each other. People close to the two say, “We had no idea. We don’t really know the reasons either.”

In November of 2010, Takuma and Kaku appeared together at the “Husband and Wife Platinum Awards“. At this event, Kaku praised Takuma saying, “I’m able to rely on him, he’s very manly.” In response, Takuma said, “Anyway, there are no cloudy days,” showing that they had a good relationship.

Oguri Shun, Yamada Yu to marry on March 14

Actor Oguri Shun and actress Yamada Yu announced in a fax to the media that they will get married on Wednesday, March 14, which happens to be White Day in Japan. The two have been dating since March 14 in 2008, so their wedding date will mark their 4th anniversary as a couple.

In their announcement, the two thanked the many people who have supported them up until now. “We are truly very grateful,” they said. “From now on, we will continue supporting each other and cherishing each day, and we hope to build a warm home.”

Sources say that the two were originally planning to get married on July 5 of last year (Yamada’s 27th birthday), but they decided to postpone it due to the effects of the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.

DREAMS COME TRUE’s Yoshida Miwa marries FUZZY CONTROL’s JUON

DREAMS COME TRUE vocalist Yoshida Miwa recently got married to FUZZY CONTROL vocalist/guitarist JUON, it has been learned. The couple registered their marriage on March 8th, which happens to be JUON’s birthday (and can even be read as “mi-wa”).

In 2009, DREAMS COME TRUE released the single “GOOD BYE MY SCHOOL DAYS,” which included a version of the title song by the band FUZZY CONTROL. The band also participated on DREAMS COME TRUE’s next single “Sono Saki e,” released later that same year. The two groups have also toured together, deepening Yoshida and JUON’s relationship. Since 2010, FUZZY CONTROL has been managed by DREAMS COME TRUE’s agency, DCT entertainment.

Yoshida was previously in a common-law marriage with music video director Sueda Ken, but he died of a tumor in 2007 at the age of 33.

There are currently no plans for a wedding ceremony or party. Both Yoshida and JUON plan to continue with their music careers.

Actor Emoto Tasuku and actress Ando Sakura got married on March 14 (White Day), it has been learned. Their respective management agencies announced the news on Friday.

Both Emoto and Ando are children of well-known celebrities. Emoto is the son of actor Emoto Akira and actress Tsunogae Kazue, while Ando is the daughter of actor Okuda Eiji and essayist Ando Kazu.

According to their agencies, the two first met 4 years ago at the Akita Jumonji Cinema Festival, and they dated for about 3 years before getting married. They both appeared in the movie “Kenta to Jun to Kayo-chan no Kuni” in 2010. After that movie’s release, there were reports that the two were dating, and at the time they openly confirmed their relationship.

Inoue Waka to marry director Iizuka Ken

According to the Sankei Sports newspaper, talento Inoue Waka is getting married on her next birthday, May 13th. Her husband will be 33-year-old movie director Iizuka Ken (“SAI-REN,” “Summer Nude”), who recently worked on the live-action television and movie adaptations of “Arakawa Under the Bridge.”

The two first met in March of last year during the filming of “Arakawa Under the Bridge.” Their relationship was said to be purely professional at the time, but they met again during a group meal in May after filming was completed and started dating soon after that.

Iizuka also cast Inoue in his stage play “FUNNY BUNNY,” which is currently running until the end of this month.

The Sankei Sports newspaper says that Inoue’s agency has confirmed that she is getting married. It is said that she plans on continuing with her show business career.
