I hope the lighting guy knows that to hold a xenon lamp with at least 250 volts, while in the water over your knee, is not a good idea. I hope someone is holding the extension cord too.

Ebi-chan denies rumors of affair; says she has no boyfriend

Popular model Yuri Ebihara, in Shanghai Sunday to promote her line of “fing MOTESTO” stockings, insisted the rumors that she is having an affair with basketball player Kei Igarashi, are not true. “That was my twin sister,” she said of the person seen at a basketball game in which Igarashi was playing. “Not me.” As far as she is concerned, Igarashi is just “an acquaintance.”

Ebihara, 28, popularly known as “Ebi-chan,” said she first met Igarashi, also 28, at a dinner party in 2006. “I’ve seen him no more than once this year.” Her married twin sister Eri, who has also appeared on TV and in magazines, looks enough like Ebi-chan to be mistaken for her.

“Honestly, I don’t even have a boyfriend,” said Yuri. “I do want to marry the next guy I go with though,” she added with a wry smile.

However flat her personal life might be, professionally she’s doing just fine. Shanghai’s biggest department store was thronged with 3,000 people who came by on Sunday to see her. It’s the latest segment of Ebihara’s Asian fashion push that began in Taipei in July

What is she up to nowadays? There is nothing new posted on her website.

I'm sure she will be as a fashion model/icon...but her acting career seems questionable. That's just my speculation of course.

Ebi-chan crowned calendar queen for fifth year in a row

Model Yuri Ebihara, 30, has been declared calendar queen in the female celebrity category for the fifth year running, following the rampant buying fever that has surfaced even before her “Ebi-chan Calendar 2010” has gone on sale.

The monthly calendar sees Ebihara, or Ebi-chan as she is known to her many loyal fans, in a range of poses and suggestive glances. The 2010 calendar comes with a DVD and bonus photo collection, and is not available for individual sale. The box set, called “I Love You,” sells for 2,940 yen starting Dec 7. Bookstores and online retailers such as Amazon have received an overwhelming demand for her latest work of art, with some outlets already sold out through reservations.

Ebi-chan, who will be at the Ginza branch of the Fukuya book store chain on Dec 6 to promote the calendar, said: “There’s a lot of love from me in each of the boxes.”

The Sports Nippon newspaper is reporting that popular model Yuri Ebihara (30) and RIP SLYME rapper ILMARI (34) are planning to get married by next spring, and possibly as early as next month.

The pair's relationship was discovered earlier this year by the magazine FRIDAY. The two have only been dating since April, though it is said that they have been friends for a while. According to Sports Nippon, both Ebihara and ILMARI already notified their respective agencies earlier this month about their marriage plans.

At this time, neither agency has made an official statement regarding the marriage.
