Yup... It's a tad nasty out there.
But at least I don't have to be on the freeways.

Big plus. My slicker and golashes do nicely while I'm riding my bike along the LA river....before I jump into the kayak and finish the trek home.

I have a dry suit in my bicycle basket and rebreather for seriously inclement weather. I dive for my own oysters.

Why? They are already pre-marinated.

I admire your varied entrpeneural talents.
In my past life I too dived for pearls, in the Sulu Archipelago. I supplied Elizabeth Regina's most magnificent ones. _________________

Eve,
Thanks for the Glenda Jackson remembrance. That was the best version of Elisabeth Regina. I can always see the famous days long death scenes. Her mind wandering and delicately putting her fingers to her lips but she never spoke. Just looking through the windows... Glenda made this role all her own. It has never been done any better. I wonder if she is still alive. Have to check that. She gave up acting to become an M.P
http://www.glenda-jackson.co.uk/contact_me Her Parliament address and email on this site.
Also there was a BBC series about Henry VIII's wives. ?!970? He was played to perfection by Keith Michell. (I think I have the right name). anyway he gave Henry his proper respect as a handsome young man with exquisite manners, elegantly dressed. As he aged the changes were remarkable. Can't say I liked the recent "Tudor" series with the rock group actor with the double barrel name. I really can't think of his name sorry. He's very sexy in his style. Middle name Rhys. I can remember it because it's Welsh.
Peg.
