The weird thing is, his owner was no where to be seen, so it really DID look like he was the one begging. Verra amusing. _________________

My Picks: PARIS (day two)
Here's the Ritz Hotel where Princess Di was the night she was killed.
Any fans of the movie Amelie here? Anyways, it's my second fav movie, so you can imagine how excited I was when we came upon the Basilica! This is where an important scene in the movie was shot:
There were beautiful streets with beautiful shops surrounding it. I swear, I felt like I was walking through a picture book:
I took this next picture because the stairs are cement... but they made them look like wood. So cool!
While we were there, people were filming something else.
There are more pics in the album.
I wasn't really impressed with the Eiffel tower. I mean, we have the CN Tower, which is the tallest free standing structure in the world. But I have to admit, at night, the Eiffel tower transformed into something for more magical.
For ten minutes at the beginning of every hour, the tower starts to twinkle. It's an amazing site to behold.
Alrighty, those were my picks from Paris. There are many many many more Paris pics in the album, but if you don't wanna sit through the slide show, than the above are just my own highlights for your pleasure. I'll do Switzerland tomorrow lol. _________________

I dunno, my sister took that pic... but there are more bathroom pics with her and some other people in them. Apparently the toilet was "cool"... _________________

Yesh, she's in Uni. lol!
Hookers?! Actually, I didn't see any the whole time I was there. Tho there was this one guy who pulled out his peppy and asked me if I wanted it...

Awesome! It IS verra nice, but I did feel it was a bit overrated. I mean, I was more attracted to Switzerland and found Germany more high end.
My Picks: Bern (day three)
We travelled through Bern on our way to Lucerne (Switzerland) and I swear, Hobbits live here...
This is the TGV that we took, which is the fastest train in Europe. It used to be the fastest in the world, but then Japan beat it. Now, however, Europe has once again beaten Japan, but the new train hasn't been released yet.
Here's a vending machine to compete against the ones posted in the Japan thread.
I was really shocked to find booze and cigs and all sorts of random things being sold in this.
This is the plaque to commorate where Albert Enstein used to live. It was a little anti-climatic because you don't actually get to see the house. Just the plaque.
I told you. Hobbits live here.
Here's the old chocolate factory I tried to break into.
Bern is known for the Bear, hence why you can see them at random around the place:

Yeah, in Germany they think of beer the same way we think of water. If you tell them you don't drink beer they look at you like "WTF???" |
It's true! Wait until you see the pics from the Bovarian night. _________________

They may have the record for the fastest train riding on rails, but literally the record for fastest train is still for Japans Maglev with 581 km/h (though the train floats above the rails because of a magnetic field). Just some side-information

It's a must see. I'm stil a fan of Italy's... but Europe is beautiful in its own way.

YAY!
My picks: Lucerne (still day three)
Alrighty, so we're driving, and suddenly these beautiful mountains are before us! This is how you know you've entered Lucerne! Switzerland is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.
This is a bad picture because it's taken through a window, but this was the type of scenery we saw the whole drive there.
I wanna live in a place like this.
Okies, the next few shots are of the hotel we stayed at. Dudes... it was a JAILHOUSE! Literally. And the only renovation they did was putting a wall around the toilet. This was one freaky experience... sleeping in a cell...
Staircase to our floor. I still don't understand the purpose of that freaky light...
Our Hallway. One flimsy wall to break the space.
Our door. This thing was SO heavy...
Our room. It looks larger in the pic.
Headboard made of the whips they used to torture inmates...

I've always wanted to go to Australia. I heard it's really beautiful. It is also an excellent place to be if a world war happens again.

Nice. Did you have the toilet in your room? It looks cramped.
It might be fun for a day or two, but I prefer Hilton. _________________

The toilet is behind that metal box thing you can see slightly off to the side. We stayed there for two nights. The first night was exciting. I was scared by the second. lol

Right on the first count, not so much on the second since our P.M. started kissing George Bush's ass.
All are welcome!
