Hey, Tomoko Yamaguchi fans, which is the best (not necessarily your favorite) Tomoko Yamaguchi dorama series you have seen. For me, it's Ohsama no Resutoran (King's Restaurant) with Sweet Home a very close second.

I think she did her best work in Sweet Home. The main focus is about Tomoko (and her neighbors) trying to get their kids in the best school. You have some great support, especially for Kaneko Fukaura as her next door neighbor and Hiroshi Fuse as her husband, but the bulk of the work is done by Tomoko.

In Ohsama no Resutoran the storyline is about getting this once great restaurant back in shape. Plus you have a lot of great actors (Kyoka Suzuki and Takehiko Ono to name two) and for several of the episodes it focuses on different characters at the restaurant and Tomoko has very little to do. That being said, it was still a great drama, overall better than Sweet Home but not as big a role for Tomoko.

She caught my eye in Double Kitchen... It helped that they were broadcasting it locally, too. Victory! Peace!

Good show. Great comedy. Reflective of better economic times for the Japanese as compared to now. Sweat

But having said all that, if I were stuck on a desert island and could only have one Tomoko Yamaguchi drama it would still be Long Vacation.

The cast of 29th Christmas.

Tomoko's vest is very 90's. Classic.
