i just finished watching unfair and it was so good! i havent watched these supense/mystery dramas for so long and i cant believe the ending!! At first i was interested in watching it because i saw a scene where one of the boy from 14year old mother was in, but later i got to like it because the whole plot made me so excited!!

There is an Unfair SP http://www.ktv.co.jp/unfair/, and there is a movie which opened mid last month: http://unfair-movie.jp/. That I think, brings the Unfair series to an end.

Cast from the movie:

Movie synopsis:
The hospital Yukihira's daughter has been admitted to is occupied by terrorists who will not yield to the SAT (Special Assault Team). Their demand? Divert the police agency's secret funds and prepare 8 billion yen within 2 hours. Their biggest hostage is none other than the director-general of the policy agency, who was visting the hospital at the time of their seige. The police, who don't want news of the existence of the fund to come to light, become embroiled in a battle of wits orchestrated by the leader of the terrorists.

Haha great guesses! Mr Green

Character profiles (Unfair the Movie)

Yukihira Natsumi (Shinohara Ryoko): Police detective with the Metropolitan Police Department's Public Security General Affairs Unit. Formerly the detective with the highest arrest rate in the Criminal Investigation's First Division, Yukihira has now transferred to the Public Security Division. Consumed with hatred over the murder of her father, a policeman, she works relentlessly without sleep or rest. Yukihira has a daugther, Mio, now in the third year of junior school. She and her husband are divorced.

Saiki Jin (Eguchi Yosuke): Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department's Public Security General Affairs Unit and Yukihira's superior. Saiki is called the top detective of the Public Security Division for his brilliant mind and cool and collected composure. He abides by the division's rule of "all's well that ends well," and treats Yukihira's propensity to act alone with tolerance. Saiki constantly carries candy with him due to his sweet tooth.

Mikami Kaoru (Kato Masaya): Coroner with the Metropolitan Police Department's Crime Lab and ranked a police superintendent. While Mikami should be at the crime scenes, he also shows up frequently at the Criminal Investigation headquarters and Command headquarters; and he likes expressing his own opinions. Yukihira has complete confidence in him because he is well versed in all matters.

Goto Kuniaki (Kippei Shiina): Mastermind of the Houshu Police Hospital barricade and terrorist leader. Goto has a capable mind and is undaunted by the SAT team. This time, he has singlehandedly conceived and executed this plan to rock the heart of Japan. What is his motive?

Kokubo Yuji (Abe Sadao): Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Investigation First Division. Kokuboi's mind is always on his career advancement, and even fears rocking the boat when it comes to investigation methods. He wants to replace his boss Yamaji. He views Yukihira, whose style is the total opposite of his, as his rival.

Yamaji Tetsuo (Terajima Susumu): Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Investigation First Division's Special Team. Yukihira's former superior. He was reshuffled to take responsibility for the consecutive murders that were "predicted" in the mystery novel case. He is the officer in charge of the Houshu Police Hospital barricade.

Renmi Anna (Hamada Mari): Formerly with the Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Investigation First Division's Information Analysis Unit. Renmi was Yukihira's colleague and realised who was the criminal behind Mio's abduction. Later, she suffered at the hands of Yukihira's subordinate Ando Kazuyuki, and was seriously injured. Renmi is now hospitalised at Houshu Police Hospital.

Irie (Ohsugi Ren): Deputy Comissioner of the Metropolitan Police Department. Irie is a proud, heartless fellow who prizes police confrontations. Ambitious, he coverts the Commissioner's position and is suspected of having been involved in illegal dealings in the past.

Toda (Narimiya Hiroki): An occupation leader in the Houshu Police Hospital barricade. Toda caused trouble with a group of street wear clad youths but his actions are inconsistent and his motive is also shrouded in mystery.

Hiroko (Kato Rosa): A nurse at Houshu Police Hospital. Yukihira's daugther, Mio, who has been admitted to the hospital is under Hiroko's care.

Looking forward to see the movie as I truly enjoyed this show! w00t!

For a TV production, it was really well executed, albeit not too realistic but who cares?

Can anybody recommend me similar Jdoramas with emphasis on mystery, action and crime??? I like it on the darker side ;-)))

Best regards
E

Just finished watching the movie.

Most recommended. They kept up with the same style, probably due to the length of the movie, couldn't put that much twist to it. Exciting, nonetheless. This one is much more predictable.

The way they ended it, (kind of like how they ended the 1st series), seems like a 2nd series maybe on the way!!! Stay tuned

where'd you get the movie??

I just started watching the drama. It's pretty good. I'm on ep 2 and that main girl Ryoko is pretty sexy Naughty

===========

I found this show because I saw the music video for "I'm Here" by yuna ito. There were scenes from Unfair the movie in there. It looked cool so I found the drama and started dling it. Have you guys heard "I'm here"? It's an awesome song! I love it way more than "faithful" (the theme song for the drama). However, it said that this was one of the worst selling singles of yuna ito. Wierd.. Crazy
