I don't know if anyone around here knows exactly what the deal is. A few days ago, the drama.afraid.org host wasn't resolving, but today it is and those sites seem to be erased or something. The root doc is in Polish now?!? Hope they'll be back.

As mentioned in this thread: http://jdorama.com/viewtopic_5290.htm

You'll probably be able to get updates/news from the JTV forums: http://jtv.kikuchiyo.net/

i've downloaded an episode of an anime off of bittorent, but the thing is, i don't know how to play it. i mean, when i open up windows media player, it won't let me play it, and i'm thinking, if this is going to happen when i try to d/l a jap. drama, then i don't really want to do it, because it took a really long time just to d/l it. any help, anyone?

1st thing's first: i think instead of using the term "J@P" (which is a derogitory term) one might use JPN or just spell out japanese.

Now getting to your ?, you may have to download the correct codec for that file. Go get the software called gspot and if you run an .avi file to gspot, it'll tell you what codec you need.

CODECs are for free..try to search for the Nimo CODEC pack on a search engine, it includes most CODECs you'll ever need.

this is what it said on the site that i was going to download it from. is there any way i could d/l it w/out getting all those third party progams?

I'm really impressed with videoLan, It can play mostly all types of media files.. why don't you try to download it? Wink

VideoLan is definitely a very capable player. It can even play ISO CD image files and partially downloaded movies. Another great one is Media Player Classic (MPC). MPC is pretty good at playing DVDs as well as the usual video files, and generally doesn't crash (unlike Windows Media Player).

Can't find it on Suprnova? I've downloaded a lot of e-books from there lately. Or you could try http://www.elitetorrents.org (registration required). I also used to d/l from www.schwak.net which only has educational torrents, but it's down. I don't know if it's temporary or gone for good though.

in supernova, it has it internitently, so i'll go and check once in a while.

thx for the other 2 torrent sites, EliteTorrent has slim pickings when it comes to e-books, and the other one is now outta service. Later!

I was wondering, is anyone else having a problem getting torrents from Suprnova? Because everytime I try to save the link, it links me back to the main page. Sad

Inheavysyrup.com uses the same server as D-Addicts.com. I think D-Addict's down as well.

In the future, check out:

Someone posted the Korean drama "The Bodyguard" and the site is temporarily shut down because it was thought that they were illegally posting the Whitney Houston movie.

Maybe the next rule of thumb is to start using the original name rather than the translated English counterpart. I don't know about Korean stuff, but a large majority of the names of Japanese dramas are English translations. Examples:

Hitotsu yane no shita = Our House = Under the Same roof
Hoshi no kinka = Heaven's Coins

Therefore, the likelihood that the translated name coming close or exactly the same as something that's watched by the MPAA is rare, but still possible. I wouldn't be surprised when someday in the future NBC's going to be shutting down sites, mistaking Friends with Fukada Kyoko for Friends with the multi-millionaire cast members.
