ohmygod, arashinokoto,......~

ijust realized something,.....I'm into more Osaka flavours, so I was looking at oricon charts, and saw a katakana name similar sounding to gospellers, and now, I realize they must be the same group because they have come from Osaka, too.

However, I don't know gospellers till now, so I'll come back to post if they are the same,...~ Crazy because they are a new group, I'm startin' to love it~(arashinokoto, others i'll recommend are: rip slyme, ego wrappin', dragon ash, kick the can crew)

the katakana name you are looking at: ゴスペラス

Gospellers!!!

My favourite songs from them are Yakusoku no Kisetsu, Towani and Hoshikuzu no Machi. Really love their harmonizing and acapella... great voices too.

Hiroki, you're not the only one liking Osaka flavours yo! I like songs by Osakans (um, is that what you term pple living in Osaka? Gomen ne, if i'm wrong Sweat ) like Hirai Ken, Chemistry, and SOS too!!

hoshi, anything tht's referring to a place and relating to the people we would add "jin" (kanji->person)~

so it would be osaka-jin, but that sounds weird and quite protrude to the topic, it's more correct to refer them to "kansai-jin" (kansai is the region that contains osaka, kobe, kyoto.....of course contains other prefecture as well) kansai is more a general term for Kinki(much decisive term). Here's the link: http://map.yahoo.co.jp/

Kinki is 近畿.

but most of my Japanese friends are from Osaka, they mostly listen to the following:

Hirai Ken (born: Osaka)
Aiko (born: Osaka)
Hitomi Yaida (born: Osaka)
Shiina Ringo
Chara
Dragon Ash
Rip Slyme
Ego Wrappin'
Thee Michelle Gun Elephant
Mr. Children

I personally would add some more flavours or artists to the list:

Chemistry
Misia
Utada Hikaru
Kick the Can Crew
DJ Watarai
DJ Takashit
DJ Krush

PS-> I think Kansai-jin enjoys more of hip-hop style of song. Notice, the list contains highly-skilled artists who mostly compose, arrange and as well write music and lyrics. Also, they are very unique, that's why they are not as much belong to the definition of J-POP. This is what makes Kansai-jin has a sense of lifestyle taste, as well as their preference of music~

huadah! glad to find there's someone talking about gospellers here. Since I really like acapella, i attracted to Gospellers from the first time I heard them in towani accoustic version. Then when I heard "promise (or perhaps yakusoku no Kisetsu, are they tha same song? cause yakusoku is promise in japanese), i'm completly in love with them.

I bought their album, a capella, and i really enjoyed their voice and harmonization, but when their about to add music in their song, I found it quite strange in my ear. dunno, perhaps it's because I really like acapella. That's why I also fine mimoza little bit unmatched with my taste...

BTW, besides promise and towani, I also like hoshikuzu no machi. Really love the intro, very cool. And yes, I also love Hirai Ken...what a voice!

question:
Minna, is there any japanese acappella group besides gospellers, rag fair, and InSpi?

thnx

If there's any Gospellers fans in the L.A. area, they'll be having a concert on Oct. 28th at El Camino College.
