For those who are not aware this is a 4-episode drama featuring stories from Yoshi's book of the same title. Each episode tell the story of a young girl:

Episode 4: Slot (Ueno Juri)

The DVD in question was released in June 2005, so I presume the photo was taken about the same time - i.e. reasonably recent.

None of the actresses in Tsubasa smiled much, but Ryoko (Ms. Ueno's character) toped them all - I think she only smiled for a few seconds in total in a couple of scenes. Of all the characters she was most tattily dressed, so I'm still trying to come to grips with her "hotness"...

LOL, obviously, in terms of , she was not directly sexy, perhaps if she were in a "g" string, and lingerie, that would be...say...more directly sexy..
but in a non-direct simple way..she's just hot...and you would agree, right? or otherwise this thread would not exist...
good analysis....on Tsubasa actresses, i guess you are right, they didn't smile very much, complexed characters that are going through a lot in their lives. but of course, it would have been nice to see Juri in something more tight, and sexy...

She IS pretty sexy in "Jozee, the Tiger, and the Fish." Satoshi Tsumabuki and Juri Ueno duke it out with their tongues in that one.

If you mean the above photos they did not come from any video footage. Actually they are from her photo-essay "Juri First". There are many photos of her fully dressed in addition to those shown here.
