I understand, of course, that you are not prepared to engage into an incestuous relationship in real life. My concern is that the conclusion you reached after watching this movie, that the twins ended the relationship because they were siblings, had a wrong basis to begin with - they should not have engaged into sex (or heavy petting, as the audience only knew they shared the same bed and kissed). This is a fictional plot, which means that the 'restrain' they showed at the end of the movie was also fictional. The relationship should not have begun in the first place. Making it seemed right with a 'positive' conclusion did not mean that the whole idea of the plot was right.

What if others in a similar situation, i.e. siblings that are emotional attached to each other, follow suit? Even if they break it up just like the movie, there will always be the aftermath of a psychological trauma. For both parties as well as for their parents (remember how the mother was worried when she found out the kids shared the same bed>)

I condemn this movie precisely because of its use of incest as an excuse for love, regardless of the outcome.

yup... I was watch a korean movie with the same theme as Boku Imo, incest between sister and brother, titled WANI AND JUNAH... Also was read manga JULIET's EGG incest twin siblings... The last one even more tragic than the other movie, they were twin result from incest twin too... Probably, that's why BOKU IMO more logic for me than other..even i've never read the Manga or Anime...
