Since I couldnt find a thread for this amazing duo, I made one. I first got to know Kobukuro from Ns' Aoi, since they sang the theme song for it.. then I downloaded their songs and gosh I love them In love Now they will release a new single, which is also the theme song for Regatta~Kimi to ita eien. The song title is "Kimi to iu na no Tsubasa", and the PV for it is up for downloading in Jpopsuki Victory! Peace! Its so pretty, the lyrics are amazing >_<

Is there anyone else who loves Kobukuro?

w00t!

I also liked Kobukuro very much since Sakura of Nurse Aoi. I know it's a bit late to reply now.. he,he,he..

All Best Singles songs are on my ear all the time, and just recently I got their songs from the Straight album, love them.

Also their new song with Ayaka (dunno her) called Tsubomi also a nice catchy song.

my 2 cents.

congratulations to them!!

Kobukuro's "Tsubomi" reaches 3 million chaku-uta downloads

On Wednesday, the Recording Industry Association of Japan announced that Kobukuro's song "Tsubomi" has reached 3 million chaku-uta (ringtone) downloads. This still trails the 4 million downloads of O-Zone's "Dragostea Din Tei," but it ranks #1 among Japanese artists.

RIAJ only announces chaku-uta download numbers at the million marks. Songs that have passed the 2 million mark include Remioromen's "Konayuki" and Hikaru Utada's "Flavor of Life" (which broke 7 million downloads across all digital formats, including chaku-uta, last July).

"Tsubomi" has been available for chaku-uta download since January 2007. It won the Japan Record Award in December, and has been chosen as the entrance march song at the opening ceremony of this year's Spring Koshien, which starts on March 22.

Kobukuro have like a j-pop, indie, pop-folk kinda thing going on.
They first started out as street performers in Osaka, and I guess from there they got noticed and stuff.
Their vocals are freaking awesome, my dad who likes enka is totally "hammateru" to kobukuro and apparently got me into them. -.- haha

Anyway, if you like kobukuro try listening to Remioromen, they're a bit more rock-ish though. Their song "Minami Kaze" is really catchy Wink
