I am no dorama expert or anything but this drama has a little bit non-japanese/american flavour in it i think. Especially the "questioning the purpose in life" aspect and all the fears about purpose/future reminds me american indie movie-type existentialism. And it is very nicely done without preaching what to do/how to do, just do what you feel right and trust yourself. Although i must admit i was a little bit dissapointed at the end but it was a "real life" ending, not a drama ending so it fits to the whole premise.

loved this drama,loved the theme and the 3 main casts i.e Yutaka,Sorimachi T and 'makato'- definitely something for all of us to reflect in our purpose of life esp in this fast growing society
