Maybe so.. hehe Well, I'm their big fan but I would be objective. I would give the award the most to "m no higeki" period. Goro-chan's acting was great and that applies to Hasekyon too.

Love both actors but havn't watch it yet. Is goro-chan the only smap member that hasn't gotten any acting award? Is M no higeki really that good (worth buying)?

I haven't watched gokusen 2, m no, or emergency 24 hrs 3, but from what I heard, gokusen 2 is very similar with the first one. It feels... weird if gokusen 2 won the award because it only "copying" the plot from the first one....

and for the best actress and actor, I don't feel surprise at all. Both of them have great acting capabilities and from my pov, they deserve the best for what they've already give for us... great performance in every dorama that they played ^^

yup, Goro Inagaki is the only SMAP member who has never got an acting award...and that's weird, coz I think he also got a great acting-skill as equal as the other members. His acting-skill is proven on how he can act various types of roles, from a total geek/nerd with glasses (Koi no Katamichi Kippu) to a kakkoi rich guy (Love Quotient). And his act-skill also shown in SxS, sometimes to act those roles took more than just comedy-skill...yet Goro can act out a 70 yrs old-wise man and an elegant woman, so right on the spot, that made him doesnt look like a 30 yrs old-man trying to act like an old man/a woman^^

M no Higeki. Well...it is back to each and every one's own taste, of course. Some people think its a great dorama, some people think its so-so, and some people dislike it. Maybe this synopsis of the drama here, can help you decide whether this drama is your cup of tea or not^^

Was looking through the lists of past winners and found it very interesting. 2000 had two of the best dramas ever Yamato Nadeshiko and Oyaji fighting out for best drama and unfortunately there can only be one winner. Sad

One thing that really bothers me is why does Fukada Kyoko's name appear so many times? Seriously, her acting is really bad and single dimensional. She doesn't have to subtlety to give her characters depth. I mean, compare her acting in Otousan to Nakatani Miki and Hirosue Ryoko's.

I have to stop myself before I go into a Fukada Kyoko rant.

Anyways thanks for the list of jdorama winners!

Hmm...seems like the more deserving one should have been Kyumei Byoto or Yasashii Jikan instead, or even M no Higeki (which I think is far better than Gokusen 2). I mean, does rating REALLY REALLY matter? In 2003, Good Luck's overall rating surpassed 30% mark, and still lose out to Boku no Ikiru Michi which gained about 15% in rating overall. Gokusen 2 has only 28% in overall rating, a closer competition with Kyumei Byoto's 19% rating.

Fuh, should have asked the people at The Television about this.

TV Adadamy Awards happen 4 times a year, after a new season.

Most dramas run 11-12 episodes (1 season)...
