Miki Mizuno stars in Sion Sono's "Koi no Tsumi"

It was revealed on Monday that actress Miki Mizuno has been tapped to star in the next film from director Sion Sono ("Cold Fish," "Ai no Mukidashi"). The movie is titled "Koi no Tsumi" and is planned to be released before the end of this year.

"Koi no Tsumi" is inspired by an actual murder case that occurred in the Maruyama neighborhood of Shibuya just before the turn of the century. The story will focus on three women: Mizuno plays a detective, while Makoto Togashi plays an assistant university professor and Megumi Kagurazaka plays a housewife.

Other cast members include Kazuya Kojima, Satoshi Nikaido, Tatsuki Kobayashi, Marie Machida, Ryo Iwamatsu, Hisako Okata, and Kanji Tsuda.

Mizuno Miki and actor/ illustrator Karahashi Mitsuru got married on 28 June this year which was also her birthday after dating for a brief 3 months. According to insiders, the couple met in mid March through mutual friends and started dating in April. After dating for three months, the couple registered their marriage on her 42nd birthday. She is currently not pregnant and there are no plans yet for a wedding.

Karahashi is mainly active in stage plays and acted as the protagonist in the 2003 TV Asahi "Kamen Rider 555". In recent years, he is also active as an illustrator and opened his personal exhibition in 2012. On the other hand, Mizuno has appeared in 5 dramas this year and can be seen in the ongoing NTV drama "Kuroi Juunin no Onna". Her new stage play "Chinuzumushi" will be staged in Shimokitazawa from 27th October to 8th November by her theatre group "Propeller Ken" where she takes on the three roles of the scriptwriter, director and actress.

Miki Mizuno pregnant, expected to give birth next summer

Mizuno Miki is currently pregnant and due to give birth next summer as reported on 22 December. According to various sources, Mizuno is in the early stage of her pregnancy and will continue appearing in the TV Asahi Winter 2017 drama "Ubai Ai, Fuyu" which is due to begin its run from 20 January in the Fridays 11.15pm timeslot as there are no plans for any physically-demanding scenes. Nonetheless, there will be measures to take her condition into consideration during the filming.

Mizuno got married to illustrator and actor Karahashi Mitsuru on her birthday this year (28 June) after a 3-month whirlwind romance. In this year alone, Mizuno had appeared in four dramas including NHK's "Nigeru Onna", FujiTV's "Love Song" and NTV's "Kuroi Juunin no Onna".

Miki Mizuno announces the birth of her first child

Mizuno Miki announced the arrival of her first child via her Instagram account on 26 July where she uploaded a photo of the feet of her and her baby. In her message, Mizuno thanked everyone for their concern and consideration during her pregnancy and their help during her childbirth. She also expressed her gratitude to her husband who was with her when the baby was born.

Mizuno mentioned that she has become prone to crying at the smallest things ever since she became a mother and is touched by how she sees her baby is bursting with so much energy with each passing day. As such, she hopes to become a reliable mother and be able to accompany her child through life's every step.

Mizuno met her husband, actor-illustrator Karahashi Mitsuru in March last year and started dating the following month. The couple got married on her 42nd birthday on 28 June after dating for three months.
