Here's some livejournal communities that have been almost my sole direct download source for all Asian dramas/movies for a year or so now. Megaupload is the most common download site used, since links last for 90 days since the last download, or if the uploader has a premium account, indefinitely. Most files are split into parts that need to be joined together using HJsplit, which is here: http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/

Being that they've livejournal communities, you need to sign up for a free livejournal and then join the communities in order to see posts, since download-related stuff is required to be friends only. Once you've joined a community, you can click on your friends page to see the latest updates, or go to http://community.livejournal.com/INSERTNAMEOFCOMMUNITY in order to see the tag list of drama titles along the left side. (Or possibly right side if they ever change the layout.)

JDramas
http://community.livejournal.com/jdramas/profile

This community has over 17,000 members and currently over 550 different Asian dramas. Not too long ago, they had to take Asian movie titles out of their tag list, because they reached LJ's limit of 1000 tags. Another community was created to archive links to Asian movie downloads at the jdramas comm. The link archive is:
http://jdramas-archive.livejournal.com/tag/

Asian_Doramas
http://community.livejournal.com/asian_doramas/profile

This is a newer community that doesn't have as many members as jdramas, but has its share of stuff that is posted exclusively there, and unlike jdramas, allows unsubbed dramas/movies to be posted.

There's several other drama download lj communities that I know of, but these two are the most extensive. Hope I made that clear enough for anyone who'd like to check these communities out and isn't familiar with livejournal, but if not, let me know.

Have you tried AsianDVDClub: http://asiandvdclub.org/ ?

You do have to register and the main requirement is that you maintain a good download/upload ratio...

Did you join the group? I'm a member and it has a list of the tags on the side. I think you have to join to be able to see it.

For those who are fine with chinese-subbed jdramas, I've just realized there are many old series in TVBT's ClubBox.

http://clubbox.co.kr/tvbtml

Usually it's really hard to come upon someone seeding an old seriesCso this is good for downloading those 90's or later dramas.

http://boxfile.co.kr/

Found out yesterday that there are tons of dramas buried within ClubBox. You can usually find them by searching with their Japanese titles. Most of them are raw files (I guess), unless they are hardsubbed. (There seem to be lots of Korean subtitles.)

Handy for d-addicts torrent that no one is seeding.

OK I went through the links and removed the dead ones, all the links listed should still be current:

http://www.jidolsource.net/index.php?download

I'm still interested in getting more links to put up. I didn't put in the LJ groups because you have to have a LJ account AND be a member of the group to see what's listed. Apparently that's too difficult for some people to comprehend Wink

Thanks! Applaud With DramaFFA, anyone able to download dramas off YAstorage(sp?)? I used to be able to, but when I tried a month ago, the download never started for me after jumping thru the hoops.

Just wanted to add, with searching ClubBox, another tip I found useful is getting the Korean translation of whatever you are looking for, and use that to search. (Usually you can see some Korean text in some of the filenames or descriptions, or use a translation site, like this one: http://www.excite.co.jp/world/korean/ ) A lot more results show up this way. Found some old variety shows/dramas that I didn't expect to be available anymore.

www.findbox.tw

Search engine for GoGoBox, the chinese equivalent of ClubBox

It's usually only good for finding chinese-subbed stuff, but may come in handy for someone... looking for OST or PB or something else

Works much the same as ClubBox, although download speed is slower

This doesn't work sometimes... For example, I tried to find Refrain
There are download links for it here: http://www.tokiemedia.com/DownloadLink.php?cat=648

But nothing comes up for "Refrain" and Refrain01"

Thanks for both links though. I found Medaka OST with the search engine. w00t! And the new site look to have quite a lot of dramas and movies too.

http://www.g2p.org/

A similar site, but probably with wider scope. I haven't had much experience with it so not sure about its effectiveness.
