Chocolate-covered jalapenos.
Have you tried these? Can't wrap my brain around hot (or sweet) chili peppers and chocolate. I've had dark chocolate with cayenne pepper which was good.

Hope he didn't catch the cold or flu. There's something going around 'cuz I got it a few weeks ago.
Still alive. Didn't catch a cold but I did catch a case of the income tax. Been busy getting my paper work in order to file my returns.
In any case, went to the event last Sunday. Had a blast. 4 elementary school friends and I met up and pigged out, a few of us got drunk, but all of us had a blast.
Here are few pics...wish they were better but it's tough to take pictures with food in one hand and a whirlwind of activity around you.
Butter chicken with garlic naan from Mayura in Culver City
Pork shoulder Baco sandwich from Baco Mercat in Downtown
Sharwarma on handmade pita from Mezze in Hollywood
Pig Tail Lettuce Cup from The Spice Table in Little Tokyo
Agnolotti Pasta stuffed with mushroom and Parmasaen cream topped with fresh shaved black truffle from Drago Centro in Downtown (my favorite dish)
Beef tongue lettuce taco with frozen liquid nitrogen from Ink in L.A.
Cochinita pork from Chichen Itza in L.A.
Sushi from Tsujita L.A. on Sawtelle, West L.A.
Black Tiger Prawn from Picca Peru in West L.A.
Ribeye Bao from Lukshon in Culver City
Cured Butterfish from I forgot ()
Grilled oyster from Little Dom's in Silver Lake
The legendary Butterscotch Budino dessert from Mozza in Hollywood

No it's a flat ticket price for attendance. Prices went up this year. The VIP tickets were $95 entitling you entrance to the event an hour before everyone else, from 12pm-5pm. General admission tickets were $75, allowing attendance from 1pm-5pm.
The cost of admissions allows for unlimited amounts of food and drink, which includes beer, wine, and hard liquor. There were 3 or 4 beer companies in attendance, dozens of winemakers, and a few hard liquor companies...whiskey, bourbon, vodka, etc.
Considering there were about 50 restaurants represented, it's a bargain. For the alcohol alone it's a bargain!

^ Nice variety... Though the oyster did gross me out.
Yeah that's the great thing about this event. The variety of foods offered from restaurants both cheap and expensive, casual and fine dining, make for a well rounded, diverse experience for those attendance.
I ate several other things as well aside from what was photographed above.
