I walked through Ueno park as well, but the trees hadn't blossomed yet. Still a gorgeous place, though.
Btw, do you take pics on the largest pixel size? If so, what is the quickest way to down-size for a viewable size on the net? I have 1000 pics I'm going through and it's a pain to decrease the pixel size in Photoshop for EACH photo at a time.
Does photobucket take care of that for you, or do you normally take smaller sized photos?

Photobucket should do the trick automatically.

Actually PET bottles are the new toy in Japan. They are the latest trend - you raise the bottle like a pet much like people used to buy Tamagotchi's from Kiddy Land on Cat Street.

Sorry I missed this question you posted a while back. The temperature while I was there was mostly 60s and low 70s. It wasn't that cold although it did rain a few times during my trip.
I was there from April 11 to April 24.

No problem but thanks for responding! You really hit it just right to see the cherry blossoms. We saw the fall leaves which were beautiful. We're ready to go back again but would like to get around to the more obscure places on our own. We'll never go in Aug/Sep.....did that way back when, it was miserable.

No problem.  Yeah I got really lucky that I was able to see the blossoms in full bloom from Tokyo all the way to Osaka because the trees bloom at different times throughout the country.
Yeah I know summers are miserable in Japan because of the heat. I've only ever gone there twice in October and then this most recent visit in April.
I think once I'd like to go during the winter time. December maybe January or early February one time.
I want to visit Hokkaido at some point.

I know you enjoy the warm weather but the problem with Japan's summers is the accompanying humidity. It is supposed to be pretty brutal. Remember, too, you will be walking everywhere so you won't have the comfort of getting around in an air conditioned vehicle. Granted the train cars have A/C but it's all the other walking around you'll be doing to and from the train and walking the streets that will most likely make you wilt.
That's why our weather here in LA is so great...it rarely gets humid even when it's really hot, but then you know that.
