Matsuyama Kenichi, Koyuki tie the knot

Multiple sources reported today that actor Matsuyama Kenichi and actress Koyuki have officially married. At least one source claims that Matsuyama will hold a press conference by himself later today (April 20).

Sources from both of their management agencies revealed that the couple registered their marriage on April 1, an auspicious day (“taian”) according to the rokuyo calendar, but they delayed the public announcement in consideration of those affected by the March 11 earthquake.

Matsuyama and Koyuki were dating for almost three years. They first met in 2008 when they worked together on the movie “Kamui Gaiden” (2009), as Koyuki replaced Kikuchi Rinko after Kikuchi suffered a serious injury during filming. News of Matsuyama and Koyuki’s romance publicly came out in April 2009, and Matsuyama personally confirmed it for the first time in January 2010.

It is said that Koyuki plans to continue with her acting career.

Actress Koyuki gave birth to her first child on January 5th, it has been learned. Both she and her husband, actor Matsuyama Kenichi, announced the happy news through their management agencies on Sunday.

Koyuki and the baby boy are said to be healthy. According to Koyuki’s agency, she will focus on taking care of the child for now, but she expects to return to acting by the end of the year.

Matsuyama, on the other hand, is currently busy as the star of this year’s NHK taiga drama “Taira no Kiyomori.” The series premieres tonight (January 8).

The couple got married last April after dating for almost three years.

Does anybody know why Koyuki appears in almost every cover of Precious magazines?
Is she an exclusive cover model?
Or does she own the magazine?

Please do enlighten me.
I'm seriously confused.

Sounds like she's their exclusive cover model but it doesn't say why.

If you click on "media" it shows all the Precious covers so she must have some kind of connection with them but I have idea what or why.

At least if she's the magazine's only cover model, they don't have to worry about trying to arrange the schedule for different celebrities cover shoot every month.

I actually got to work as a background actor on a film starring Rinko Kikuchi recently. We've nod our heads and greeted a few times but never really got to talk to her. But looking back, I suppose Koyuki has Rinko to thank for finding love on the (movie) set.

On January 10th, it was announced that actress Koyuki, the wife of actor Matsuyama Kenichi, gave birth to a baby girl.

According to her agency, Koyuki had a strong interest in postpartum care facilities and so, she gave birth in South Korea, where these facilities have been developing.

Koyuki reported, “Today, a new member has joined our family. From now on, the 4 of us will work together to build a happy family.”

Matsuyama was able to witness the birth of their daughter as he had a break from rehearsals for his upcoming stage play, ‘Tooi Natsu no Gogh‘. Through his agency, he commented, “To put it in one word, I’m happy. I can’t find any other words.”

The couple started dating in April of 2009 after co-starring in the movie ‘Kamui Gaiden‘. They married in April of 2011 and welcomed their first son in January the following year. Matsuyama was also present at his son’s birth.
