Although I have to say, this time around I found them less clean. Still cleaner than everywhere else in the world I've been, but not as clean as when I visited pre-tsunami. It was one of the differences that stood out to me. _________________

Interesting. Not that I disagree with you but I didn't notice it, perhaps because the train cars are still crowded and I was still drunk.

The camera is actually manufactured by Sony so you can get them the lion's share of the credit.

LOL!
It wasn't the cars, it was more the stations. The actual cars are still spanking clean. _________________

Oh I see. Yeah well I did see some stations in Osaka on the Midosuji line that looked like they were in a state of repair or disrepair and hadn't been finished up with respect to the work.

just a quick side note; my father who lives out in osaka knows exactly where to sit on any given train carriage so that when the train stops at his desired station he's nearest his exit. i'm always impressed with that! _________________

How awesome.
I know exactly which train car to ride on when I'm in Osaka as well. The car listed "Women Only."

Oh yeah, I'll see your whale and raise one elephant! Ha!
In Kagurazaka, Tokyo. I was shown this playground courtesy of EstherM. It's in her 'hood.
