Here's a headline most Lakers' and Celtics' fans thought they'd never see:

Clippers beat Knicks in battle of division leaders

Crazy

Lakers have the potential, yet i still think they are not at full health and do lack the chemistry for a team that needs a lot of to make the playoffs.

I think that this season has truly been a great disappointment, even with the great addition of Howard and Nash to the Lakers. Too many adjustments, changes, and the coaching change and style really affected their season.

a winning record above .500 would be possible, but anything greater sounds nearly impossible for this season.

That's about all they can strive for, I think... They're inconsistent, sloppy with the ball, and awful at the FT line.

Other sports owners (Cuban, Jerry Jones, the Steinbrenners, etc.) could take lessons on how a franchise should be run. We'll see if the kids have the same vision and foresight. RIP Mr. Buss.

Lakers beat the Hawks last night, 99-98, to get back to .500...

Though it might be short-lived since they play OKC on Tuesday. Sweat

So the lakers are making a strong push for the playoffs.

It's going to be either them or the jazz right? to get the 8th spot...

Looks like it.... But they can't beat any of the really good teams (OKC, Clippers, etc.) Sweat

And Utah lost again last night (that's 4 in a row), so as of right now Utah and the Lakers are tied for the last playoff spot, all the Lakers have to do is keep winning.
