^ I'd recommend,

"Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi":http://jdorama.com/drama.1716.htm

"Osozaki no Himawari":http://jdorama.com/drama.1773.htm
(although the ending could have been better)

"Hatsukoi":http://jdorama.com/drama.1766.htm

There are a couple good police dramas:

"Strawberry Night":http://jdorama.com/drama.1706.htm

and

"Hitori Shizuka":http://jdorama.com/drama.1784.htm
which also needed a better ending, but great up until the final episode

and this year's Kimtaku drama "Priceless" :http://jdorama.com/drama.1772.htm
Kimtaku was good as usual but I really liked Karina and Nakai as his sidekicks.

also, "Unmei no Hito":http://jdorama.com/drama.1724.htm
Probably a lot of people didn't watch it. It's about a reporter uncovering some political shady dealing. Yoko Maki was great!

Thanks a lot gaijinmark! Something about Osozaki no Himawari screams teen, but I'll give it a shot!

What about any light-hearted Drama's like "My Girl," "Kimi wa Petto," "Hotaru no Hikari," and "Gokusen?"

You could try Tokyo Zenryoku Shojo, that was pretty light weight and not to be taken serious.

Perhaps Hungry, the GTO remake could be worth checking out, though I haven't seen them. This season's Saikou no rikon and Sharehouse no Koibito seem to be on the lighter side (though they are not comedies).

Since you like Aya, if you haven't already you need to check out the Thermae Romae movie - silly concept but very funny.

Hi! Are there any series or movies about photography? I've already seen Tada Kimi.

Can't think of any dramas right off the top of my head. I know dramas where a character has played a photographer like Tsumabuki in 'Wedding Planner' and Narimiya in 'Orange Days'. I'm guessing you're looking for something with photography as the main topic so dunno if you'd like this, but I thought it was a pretty good little movie: http://asianwiki.com/Tokyo_Koen

There's Itoshi Kimie, partly about a cameraman losing his sight, but the love story is the main focus, rather than photography.

Can someone recommend a drama that's similar to One Litre of Tears or Freeter buys a house? Something like Freeter where the character doesn't particularly have any skills but matures over time would be nice instead of seeing someone with talent off the bat.

Or a drama that's family oriented would be nice.

Hi. Ogon no Buta comes to mind. Shinohara Ryoko plays a rookie tax investigator with a yankee background. Pretty funny. Haven't seen one litre of tears, but think the movie little dj was a beautiful story about a boy with a severe condition.

A funny version of Freeter would be Moteki about a 30-something unlucky at work and in love.

If you like sad dramas you could check out Mother, Soredemo Ikite Yuku and Hatsukoi (the NHK drama, not the movie with the same name, though that's a bit of a sad love story too)

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I'll look into these after I finish Osozaki no Himawari. I randomly came across it and it was exactly what I was looking for. Plus all the characters are loveable, especially Joutarou. Highly recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Freeter.

'Love Generation': http://www.jdorama.com/drama.243.htm

and,

'Overtime': http://www.jdorama.com/drama.313.htm

I'd recommend Second Virgin for the romance/sexual tension. Not as famous as the previou one but it's good.

For a different twist on the usual romantic fodder--Kekkon Dekinai Otoko.

Rennai Kekkon no Hosoku--a funny take on omiai.

Welcome Maggy! Victory! Peace!

Um, the protagonist in Doctor X is a genius surgeon, if that qualifies.... Though the character is somewhat House-like: self-confident and arrogant.

One I would not recommend in that genre is "Mr. Brain": http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1407.htm

Except for the two episodes with Yukie Nakama, I thought it was disappointing.
