I cook cook. Local. U.S. Italiano. Seafood. I stay away from red meat, though, as I do not eat that. I cook some other stuff. You like oven-baked desserts? I make that, too.

i think this is a major obstacle that takki has... that people are unable to look BEYOND his "idol bishounen" persona to see that he actually is not just another pretty face. i feel sorry for him sometimes...
i think that NHK chose takki to play yoshitsune for a reason. perhaps maybe to fit the fact that yoshitsune is indeed a very beautiful person in real life (so i was told by my japanese friend?) and the fact that he is pure in his love for his family, his mother, his friends, his brother, and uncorrupted. I think one of the not many faces who are able to pull off the word "PURE" is perhaps takki.
i don't know why they picked ueto, ishihara and MAKI GOTO though...... =_= am curious about ishihara, since she's gonna be shizuka gozen, one of the most important woman in yoshitsune's life... i haven't seen her act much... but truthfully am not too impressed with ueto....... hmmm...
and takki is working his ASS off for yoshitsune going in and out of mountains and forests and only going home once a week =_= i feel so sorry for him.... so i hope people just don't label this taiga as something shallow just because he's in it.... please just give him a chance. i'm sure he was picked for a reason. yoshitsune is after all, a very important character in japanese history my friend said that yoshitsune is one of the most loved heroes because he's such a pure person.
i had my doubts too at first... but after seeing some yoshitsune shoot clips... photos, interviews... no doubt, no one else fits the role as perfectly as he does... he's born to play minamoto yoshitsune (ok ok i'm biased LOL)
i can't wait for january 9, 2005!!!!!!!!
say hello to mr.yoshitsune...... xDDDDDDD
...and his ponytail *LOL*
matsuzaka keiko, takki & ueto
all photos from the esashi, iwate prefecture shooting on september 11-18
I bet he can perfectlly play the role. I've seen his acting many times and he is a good actor. If he succeeded to play Minamoto Yoshitsune that would make another marking of his career in acting!!
Of course I'm so looking forward to see this one..Yay!!

i was sooo worried he was gonna turn out a baldy like those shinsengumi fellas LOLLLLLL....... when the first visual of yoshitsune finally came out... i'm like... KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA... NOT BALDY... BUT PONYTAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KYAAAAAAAAA....
he just looks so gorgeous......... xDDDDD (in a non-idol kind of gorgeous i mean--seriously, he looks like ROYALTY...... a shogun's firstborn or something... a prince.... a hero... LOL... u name it)
he's been bonding with his horse too HAHAHAHH... i'm jealous of his goddamn horse

Thanks for posting the pics! I'm really looking forward to this drama. Yeah, Takki is pretty, but he's proven that he can act and I think he'll do well in this. Am loving the costumes! And yes, the ponytail as well.

Hate to say this, but he does look pretty good as Yoshitsune. The question now is does he sound and act like Yoshitsune... _________________

lolll... we'll find out soon in 2005...
he's working quite hard to get *into* the real character of yoshitsune... every magazine article and newspaper article i've read praised him to be totally in-character... and fits yoshitsune so well... (unless every single magazine and newspaper in japan are biased LOL) he said he's trying really hard to not neglect the smallest details in his performance to be in character with yoshitsune. especially because yoshitsune is a lonely man... he said he has to notice every single detail in his acting to make sure that yoshitsune's loneliness is reflected.
i'm really curious about the scene where he meets benkei.... the goujyou bridge scene... a friend told me NHK went all out to shoot this scene... quite a popular scene in the yoshitsune saga too......
takki also said in a magazine article... he shot this one scene where shanaou had to dive into a waterfall.... so yeah he dove into the waterfall basin........ kakkoisou... *kicks 2005 to hurry up and come bring me yoshitsune-sama*
Higayashima Noriyuki (also from Johnny's Ent.) played this character before. I saw one episode only..he was GREAT. I hope Takki can play this role as well. I think he can since he is very talented. Well, I'm not bias here, I do admit that he is a great actor not too mention a great singer.
I saw one of his butais (musical stage) in which he performed really good and was total into the character he played.

I think Takki can pull it off. Takki was my fav Johnny's when I first started. I've come to like other Johnny's but I feel Takki is a good actor. I can't wait until this drama airs. I hope they show it in Hawaii.

Wow, thanks for all the screenshots of this new series! It looks to be great and I can't wait to see it! =D When I heard about this series and how Takizawa Hideaki was going to be dressed in samurai-ish clothes I was so excited. _________________
