Kyumei Byoto 24 Ji 2 (Emergency Ward 24 Hours 2) just ended its run here in Singapore yesterday. It starred Matsuyuki Yasuko and Yousuke Eguchi (and I'm crazy over the drama). I've been a fan of Matsuyuki's for awhile now, and I was really happy that this drama was being re-telecast. Been searching all over for information about her... it appears that she's not so popular. Well... is she? I'm certain that she isn't so popular that she's among the ranks of Ryoko Hirosue, Matsu Takako and the like.. but it's a pity because I really like her acting. She also has this 'independent modern lady' aura about her, also has a unique look. So... anyone shares the same views as I do? Not many right... can't find the mention of her name much . If you're a fan of hers... how'd you get to know her? velvet_ice

Not really a fan of hers but I liked her actin. She used to have a singin career, currently it's been left aside. She was impressive as a sexy detective in Midnight Rain and an Italian food concultant in Nanisama. I plan to watch 24 Hrs Emergency Ward 2 as I have collected the complete series.

Oh Yasuko....i like her acting......u know...in ER2...she really serious...but i don't like the ending...is it together with Yosuke???huh....in addition....she also beautiful...someone watch her in japan drama...i don't know the title...but she acted with Hideaki Takizawa....and i missed the ending of that drama!!!!the opening song of that drama is...Goodbye Yellow Bricks-Elton John(just the music!!

OK, I didn't like the ending too, but I believe there is a Special Episode or something like that which was launched in Japan on 01 01 2002. It's too bad people like me over here in Singapore don't get to watch it... I heard they made the SP edition to conclude the ending. (don't you think Shindo is being too cool?!) Mad

BTW, anyone knows where I can get the SP edition? Through BT that is...

Anyway, I heard that in this SP edition... Kosaka returns from Chicago andis invited to a function held at a cruise ship. Coincidentally, The entire ER team is also there to try to apprehend a criminal aboard the ship... (dunno why though...) Shindo, upon seeing Kosaka, didn't have any reaction because he didn't want to alert the criminal... so somehow, in the end... a gunshot is fired, and again somehow, Kosaka gets hit, and falls OFF the ship into the sea. Shindo jumps after her... and then ... I don't know the rest... Big Grin

The show you're referring to should be Taiyo wa shizumanai... where Matsuyuki plays a lawyer and Hideaki Takizawa, her client.

I had a few songs by Matsuyuki Yasuko. The music sounds like Noriko Sakai style in the late 80's and early 90's pop.

I do enjoy both shows i've watched of her... i think she has the talent, as well as the looks... but not the luck maybe. I agree with u about the "independent modern lady" aura... personally i think she's really pretty Mr Green

Hm. The luck... yup. It's sad how artistes who have real, solid talent nowadays need to depend on luck to scale greater heights in the entertainment industry. I observe that most people are more likely to receive the better looking artistes than the well... less better looking ones. Ok, maybe it has always been this way, but still...

I think Yasuko certainly looks very sexy in Midnight Rain, I was so eagerly awaiting for her to kiss Oda. I first saw her in Kirakira Hikaru and didn't impress me much because her character was as nasty as Makiko Esumi's in Shomuni, but in MR she's shown me otherwise. Maybe she just isn't singing as much as she used to?

Yasuko Matsuyuki was dating ( but already broke up ) the actor Naoki Hosaka (from "Salaryman Kintaro series") before Naoki married to the actress Saki Takaoka.
