Hi!! I'm new here. I'm a big fan of Japanese films and drama. I'm tryign to get information on Ando MAsanobu of BAttle Royale. I don't speak Japanese except for domo arigato and sumimasen

Hello there! Welcome to the forum! Glad to hear you into Japanese movies, so am I. As for info on Ando Masanobu, I dun know much. Try google for him, there may be some good sites. A member of the forum, Akakage who is really into him. Better turn to her side Have a look at Japanese Movies-thread in Japanese Entertainment -section, there may be good movie recommendations for you.

Ando Masanobu is another one of my favorite actors~! He started off in tv dramas, but now he only does movies...kind of a shame. He's been in a lot of cool dramas like Tomodachi No Koibito (w/ Seto Asaka, Kato Haruhiko...i think this was his first big role on tv), Ao No Jidai (one of my favorite dramas with Doumoto Tsuyoshi), and Seija No Koushin (another great, controversial drama with Hirosue Ryoko, Ishida Issei and Sakai Noriko). He's really cool because he can play all sorts of roles...geeky, playboy, autistic...PSYCHO (best seen in BR)! He's supposedly really picky about the movies/dramas that he starrs in. He only signs on to a project if he likes the director and staff...that probably explains why most of his movies are decent! I'm not too sure about his future work, but he's currently in a car commercial with Kashiwabara Takashi and 3 other guys. They're like the Backstreet Boys of Toyota or somethin.

I luv Ando is Red Shadow. I've seen the Toyota CM with him in it. Pretty funny. Here's a site with loads of pictures. http://andoism.idv.st/ It's a Chinese site on him. MisguidedRoses thanks for the links. He is so cool in the cm. I hope to see him in more and more movies. In a way it's ashame that he is not very high profile and in alot of magazine. It's very hard to find news about him. But I guess he doesn't want to be remember just by his pretty face. He is dame gorgeous
