Well, it's really hard to find pics of him. I have some pics of him as Matahachi (the role he played in Musashi). I've posted them in Musashi's thread. But if you want me to post them again here, I'll post.

I like him too, I think he's a terrific actor. Great in Good luck & Yamato Nadeshiko.
Maybe you already know, but if you really like Tsutsumi you can see him as lead actor in several movies by the japanese cult director Sabu, like Monday, Postman blues & Unlucky monkey. Tsutsumi seems to be Sabus favourite too.
If you're not familiar with director Sabu, then his movies are a bit special, not to everybodys liking. Tsutsumis roles in those movies are indeed different from the ones in j-drama.

Not sure if people know him.. Tsutsumi Shinichi

Think he's a fantastic actor, absolutely love him in Good Luck Big Grin

Just curious if anyone else thinks so too?

His latest project being 2 movies that will open in Japan in Summer, 2005
- Ubume no Natsu (with Abe Hiroshi, Nagase Masatoshi, Harada
Tomoya)
- Fly Daddy Fly (with Okada Junichi)

Yup, I think so too... he's very different in movies.. think anyone who's his fans must see at least one of Sabu's production.. will see a very different Tsutsumi Mr Green

So far managed to catch several of his movies - Monday, Unlucky Monkey & Drive by Sabu, Keiho & Sotsugyo

My favourite is Monday, ... think he did a great job there Applaud the dancing scenes are really.. hmmmmm....

But find Unlucky Monkey kinda confusing... didn't understand the ending Sweat

Pity that he doesn't do Sabu's work anymore nowadays

Sabu's official website is here - http://www.sabu-film.com/ (trailers of his previous movies are all available here too)

Looking forward to his 2 movies due to be released next year
Ubume no Natsu is based on a mystery novel by Kyogoku Natsuhiko
Fly Daddy Fly with Okada Junichi is based on a novel by Kaneshiro Ikki the author of "Go"

A long wait though........

tell me about that, its so hard to get hold of his movies, photos, coz his fansites are all in Japanese Shake Head

Managed to find 2 Chinese discussion boards on him
1. http://tw.club.yahoo.com/clubs/Shinichi_Tsutsumi/
2. telnet://cia.hinet.net (this board has probably this most comprehensive info on him)
This is probably the only 2 non-japanese sites that I can find Sweat

2ch is probably a good place to get hold of his latest news... too bad my Japanese is still at infant level.. Big Grin
Link for his discussion thread on 2Ch~

Yup, my Monday & drive are unsubbed, lucky that I am able to get hold of Monday's subtitle..
but not for Drive though, probably that's why I didn't like it Sweat

Read from a newsgroup that you may be able to download these movies from emule or bittorrent.. maybe u could try & check it out...

Got my copy of Keiho from Taiwan yahoo auction...you can check out yesasia.com, think they sell there too. The website add is www.yesasia.com Big Grin Yesasia is also selling Chakushin Ari's VCD (overseas version which comes with Chinese subtitle) but the price is not out yet

Lucky U!!! where did u get it from?

Ahhhhh, Toru san, one of my favourite Lovey Eyes

WARNING!!!! SPOILER FOR PURE!!!!

those scenes with Yuka at the orphanage really makes me melt
But the ending... Cry CryCry
Even though I have rewatched Pure several times.. , still can't bring myself to rewatch the hospital scene & the scene where Yuka read Toru's letter ... Sweat
Always make me wonder why the scriptwriter choose to end the story this way Shake Head
Such that Yuka understand the real meaning of "death"? what a cruel way > <
Apparently the ending of the TV novel of Pure is different, Toru san left Yuka at the end & never returned...... hmmmmmm

Orenji! Hug I also think his hair in Good Luck is the best! Kakkoii na~~ Lovey Eyes Really love it.

Nikyy, I got PURE from the crazy sell in West Mall. Only $3.90! I also bought Omyouji (Goro Inagaki), Ai wo Kudasai and 2001 no Otoko Un.

WARNING!!!! SPOILER FOR PURE!!!!

Actually i really melted at the scene where they were at the hospital~! I cried until so sad Cry Especially when he cried and said "Arigatou..." ARGH.... I almost went crazy... CryCry I think the most touching thing he said to Yuka is

"I tried to intepret the meaning of your saying that you want to be a bird. Maybe it was the fact that in some way you have felt that you are different. You thought everyone have wings on their back.... But who has wings on their back? You are no different from everyone..."

I think this ending is better than Tohru leaving her and never come back again... I think leaving her is worse ne~ cos Tohru will be so cruel~ and did you realised that when they say Tohru has no fate with Love~ it is sooo true in the end~ Cry

And yeah... the last orphanage scene Sweat

SPOILER END

And will all of you vote which character do you like Tsutsumi most as? Naughty (Maximum 3)

I vote for
- Koda in GOOD LUCK
- Nukui in KOI NO CHIKARA
- Kirahara in BEGINNER

Tough choice between Kirihara and Tohru (PURE)....
