Good afternoon,
For those that have watched enough Doramas, have you found that any resemble your life or various points in your life?

If so, which doramas and why?

Cheers,
PCM

This is kind of a hard topic because most people will watch dramas because it gives them a place/story/situation to fantasize about. If everything is predictable in all the dramas, then there will be no surprises. But some dramas do connect to our day to day life, which triggers our emotions along with. And I can't help but mention there gotta be a good looking actor/actress in there to complete the whole package! hehe hehe Beaten

What, the Leading Lady or Leading Man doesn't have to be beautiful.

Look at Love On A Diet for example! Smile

Andy Lau is not classic leading-male handsome, though Sammi Cheng is beautiful.

Heck, I don't think Kimu Taku or Kusangi Tsuyoshi are anything special for the ladies to look at either, aside from being famous and endeared for to the romantic roles they play. But both can sing, which is good.

It isnt a J-drama but the hero in Attic Cat is just like my husband. With that same charming smile, able to talk their way around everything. Trouble even when theyre asleep!!
Also Nagase Tomoya in My Husband is exactly like a friends husband so much that we have everyone watch it and they all see the resemblance immediately. And her husband isnt even a little Asian! Spookyhttp://jdorama.com/posting.php?mode=reply&t=5257#

I have not found a dorama that matchs my life very well. I hope it's not like Oyaji which I am watching now. Bonk I like the drama but I would not like to turn into an Oyaji. I made a bad joke the other day and my wife said she was worried I would turn into Oyaji if I kept the same sense of humor. Doh!

I have not, so far, any drama that I can really say relate to my life. A lot of them, no matter how close they are to my real life, is always too exaggerated for me to relate. But then, that's the reason why we watch dramas: to fulfill that emotional need that we lack and/or crave for.

Perhaps the drama that will relate to my life is the one about me hehe I will look forward to that day w00t!

none are totally like my life, but i can draw connections to many. i suppose the idea of being able to relate in some sense to the characters' experiences and emotions is what makes doramas in general so likeable. for me at least.

now, i *WISH* my life were like Koukou Kyoushi 2003 ep07. at least the end of that episode. Naughty Naughty
